Hello I thought that It would be a good idea to start a new thread dedicated to pain management Because I'm sure that many DMT-nexus Including members have chronic pain or some or some other kind of pain. I have stage one breast cancer and am undergoing chemotherapy treatment for it. I also have chronic back pain. I used to take a lot of prescription pain meds for it but that was stating to destroy my liver so I turned to alliterative solutions. I am currently using a combination of marijuana and Kratom to manage my pain. I was wondering what If anyone else has any other pain management ideas or remedies. And I also wanted this thread to not only discuss physical Pain but emotional pain too so anyone with any emotional issues or a complicated situation Please post your Problem/situation here And I will try to help you to the best of my ability And I would like to encurage other member to help that person out tooVery happy

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Meditation is as good a place to start as any. I recall reading a number of studies done on zen meditation practitioners and that they had better pain management than non practitioners. They noted that it wasn't the case that they felt less pain from the initial stimulus, but rather that their ability to mitigate it before it spirals out of control (including emotional pain). With meditation, one can learn to keep one's focus away from the pain which in itself takes away some of the power from pain which creates a self-perpetuating feedback circuit of pain mitigation.

I have congenital IBS, and meditation has proved to be one of the more beneficial methods for coping.

I'm no doctor but you sound like an ideal candidate for cannabis, in particular oral (Phoenix Tears) . . . . . .

I have also found ayahuasca, in particular, just vine preparations, to be very very helpful.

Wishing you the best in your journey and hoping you kick cancer's ass firmly back into the firmament.

You may also be interested in trying Kava Kava. It's a very mild analgesic, but it could potentially at least take the edge off. It can be a little bit hard on the liver however, so keep that in mind.

Wouldn't there be a risk that the MAOIs from the vine interact / potentiate the chemo? I would abstain from taking MAOIs. But I totally agree with you on cannabis(either vaped or oral).

Hello again I would like to thank you all for your input and I also have some bad news I was just informed by my doctor that my cancer is spreading to other parts of my body. He was talking about radiation Treatment and of course I said no. He hast really given me a time-frame but I'm sure its not long I haven't given up all hope but I just wanted to let you guys know. I also would like to ask you all to continue this thread of pain management if I am unable to. I think that it is Important to have a place in DMT nexus for pain management whether it emotional or physical. I think that it is important to have a supportive community where people can talk openly about their problems and get positive feedback and suggestions back. I also would like to thank all the members at the chat section for supporting me with helpful tips and advice. I am not saying goodbye I just wanted everyone to know what my situation is and my hopes for DMT-nexus.

I have a similar debilitating condition. I find cat's claw helps a lot with pain, inflammation, and general immunity. Other than that I use kratom but it has really been taking a toll on me lately. I haven't been getting much sleep since taking it daily. Actually...pretty much no sleep. It's getting kind of ridiculous.

I think I'm going to get back on a small dose of benzo. I think the constant stress and no sleep is worsening my condition. Try cat's claw and alkalize your body with sea salt/ lemon juice. It helps...albeit temporarily

Hang in there brother. It is essential that you NOT give up hope. I would encourage you to investigate ALL options and to attack your condition more aggressively than it is attacking you.

Yes, let's keep this thread active. I need it too.

Please look into a documentary called ''The Gerson Miracle''.

'''The Gerson Miracle' introduces us to the physician who developed The Gerson Therapy more than 75 years ago, a therapy that has proven to cure cancer and most other chronic and degenerative diseases. Through his own painful struggle with migraines, Dr. Max Gerson conceived a treatment based entirely on nutrition and the body's own ability to heal itself. He cured his migraines and summarily concentrated on other methods that prove to naturally boost the immune system this is the real miracle.

Nine current and former patients speak passionately about their successful recoveries from the most deadly cancers. Their first-person recovery stories are the greatest testament to the therapy's efficacy. And it is through Dr. Gerson's daughter, Charlotte, that the therapy is still alive in the face of almost insurmountable opposition from the American Medical Association and most major pharmaceutical companies. This film offers a path to a healthier life, in tune with our bodies and environment, not in conflict with them.

Your doctor may not advise you how you can heal your body from degenerative diseases naturally... but this film can.''

Hypnotherapy and guided imagery are great for pain.

http://www.wendi.com has some good hypo products (although the site is a bit disorganized/old school)
http://www.healthjourneys.com for guided imagery

I think they both also have some cancer products, for managing chemo/radiation etc. See http://www.wendi.com/html/cancer.html

You can also have a hypnotherapist record you a custom product.

Really sorry to hear about your situation. I have chronic lower back pain and have radio frequency denervation done at the hospital. Under sedation they put a needle into your spine next to the problem nerve and either stun it with radio waves or use heat to burn the nerve fibres away. Its really effective for nerve pain and totally harmless (the nerve fibres grow back) and can be repeated as necesary. I obviously don't know what is causing your back pain but if it is coming from a nerve this could be a viable option.

Re the cancer: Someone sent me this video recently -

http://www.youtube.com/w...DPc&feature=youtu.be

Gregg Braden talking about a hospital in China that doesn't use medicine. Shows a video where they cure a woman's cancer in 3 mins and you can see it happening before your eyes via a sonogram. Whether you believe in this stuff or think it's a load of rubbish it might be worth looking into if all else fails.

Wish you all the best.

I recently have found that Yerba Mate is great for less intense pain. I use it whenever I get a headache. I heard somewhere that it acts as a smooth muscle relaxant. Anyone have any good Yerba Mate recipes you would like to shareBig grin
