Has anyone tried it? It is very non polar and has a really low evap temperature. I'd rather evap than freeze precip. You lock the door, and throw away the key

It works well for DMT and also works for freeze precipitation. It’s very similar to naphtha and heptane. You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. I try to sneak back from time to time under different names, but unfortunately, the moderators of the DMT-Nexus are infinitely smarter than I am.

do you know where one might be able to buy hexane? It is carried ace like naptha. Is it alot more expensive? You lock the door, and throw away the key

It's hard to find in pure form. Heptane sold as “Bestine” is an easier to find alternative. SWIM likes heptane much more than naphtha. It evaporates faster and boils at a lower temperature than naphtha. You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. the nice fellow in my dreams uses bestine brand n-heptane for his extractions and loves it. Evaps quicker, yields a cleaner spice w/o multiple (if any) re-x, and heats up quicker if you want to do any heated pulls. This brand evaps clean but is slightly more expensive, although def worth the extra couple of bucks. He goes to Micheals Arts & Crafts to get it, but told me that it's the only place he knows of. hope this helps.peace

Heptane  ahhh! Great stuff! However, I suggest searching at local art supply/specialty art supply stores before resorting to Michael's simply because I noticed the price at a Michael's in my neighborhood to be $13/pint, whereas I've been paying just over $8/pint at a local art supply store.
