Just a quick question.

After all this time I've only done caapi/mhrb and caapi/chacruna. I've never done rue in combination with anything other than itself. This week at some point Im planning on taking mhrb tea/rue alks. I've taken rue fb alkaloids in the ranges of 200-300mg thus far, had pretty intense experiences and am getting a good understanding of rue in general.

The question is for the people that have a pretty thorough experience with ayahuasca and ayahuasca analogues.... What are the differences physical and non-physical between the caapi/mhrb combo and rue alks/mhrb combo? Is the rue a whole different beast with mhrb than caapi with mhrb?

Much appreciated Thumbs up

some people claim there is a big difference. but to be honest i think much of that is fueled by the preconceptions in the community regarding rue being more "harsh" etc (not to mention the taste can put you off)

i really don't notice that much difference at all. caapi for me is a bit more sedating though. but with mhrb in the mix even that isn't very noticeable

but using rue alks compared to using rue tea i do find that the purge doesn't come up as smooth. which could just be due to the added liquid, not sure

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

IMO the rue is way rougher, more uncomfortable, more unfocused, more likely to be UN-pleasant in everyway compared to caapi...

The only thing I like about rue/harmaline is the swiftness that it comes on with and the added realism of the visuals...

This is why I combine rue with vine... I find that the two balance eachother out and also it saves me money on caapi.
And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not percieve the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "brother let me remove the speck from your eye", when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye?-Yeshua ben Yoseph

Rue brings me faster in contact with sexual energies, where caapi has the opposite effect, but that's just me, YMMV, but it shows the potential of a difference.

After testing these waters a few times now I have formed my own opinion as well.

Caapi brew > caapi extract freebase > rue extract HCL > rue brew.

To me Rue is just an MAOI and yes I know others disagree.
Caapi however is an extra part of the experience.

Now with that said I will certainly be doing some more experimenting with rue-HCL.
It's not that it's bad, it's just different than caapi.

My preferred method of aya is boil caapi vine and then add the appropriate amount of FB Spice directly to the caapi concoction while it's reducing. This seems to work far better for me than pure pharma.

If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

Would you elaborate on what you mean by "works better"
And may I ask how many times you have compared the 2 methods of approach.
Thanks...

I've had plenty of experience with Mimosa and Rue, and Mimosa and Caapi. I can tell you that I notice a massive difference. It really depends on just how aware you are. I can eat food and notice the shifts in energy, I can hold a stone, be in a different area of a room and notice the energy/space shift, and the difference between Rue and caapi is quite significant.

I would definitely choose Caapi over rue, as I find it grounds the experience more to myself, where as with Rue, I can have an amazing experience, however it feels more like something sepereate when I reflect on the past experience, even though I am 'affected'.

Really depends on what you want to achieve, Rue has advantages over Caapi, and Caapi as other advantages.

I could really go into all my own personal experience which have made me feel like theres a big difference, but just see for yourself, definitely worth experimenting with.

I've had beautiful experiences in different ways with both.

I'm actually thinking of combining the two because I think they're both useful in their own way.

Let us know how it goes.

By works better I mean works more consistently. Pharma has alway's been hard to dose correctly. I can take the same dose of pharma on different day's and one day I'll trip and the next day nothing, but a strange feeling.

As for rue tea...only once. Won't repeat it. I'll only use rue extracted harmalas at this point.

Personally I have found that mixing dmt directly into a cappi brew is much more consistent. I think the DMT conjugates with something in the brew and allows it to be absorbed in a more uniform fashion.

Also I don't really find caapi nauseating at all now...

I've compared the two approaches around 6 times each now. Certainly not enough to make broad statements for others, but more than enough to make up my own mind.

I appreciate all responses so far. The girlfriend has been hesitant this week so I'm probably gonna have to extend my date with rue/mhrb, or I might just end up doing it by myelf.

And Space, Id be interested in hearing in more detail your experiences. But like you said (and Ive already known this) I just gotta dive in myself Smile
