Do you reckon in time we could cross breed acacia trees to produce DMT crystals on their leaves or something?

Like cannabis was once very extremely low in thc now we have plants producing upwards of 30% THC

Thats amazing 30% of the plant THC

we perfect dog breeding and all sorts!

I went to an outdoor entheogenic conference and there were these little saplings acacia's

but they were different, and i am sure they were a breed strand, as they had both the long propeller leaves and the small round leaves.

not that i normally recommend joe rogan, but.. click this

cannabis always had trichomes, and those trichomes always had concentrations of cannabinoids.
the possibility of high thc contents was always there (see vid) the only really thing we did was
1. provide the optimal growing conditions for the plant
2. find the plants that take to the conditions the best, and breed them.

30% thc weed was around before, but it was extremely uncommon and not the average thc content. (i think the maximum content% increase was close to 6%)

we really did not much to the cannabis plant itself with breeding, we just unleashed the potential already in nature.

so if you are not getting any trichomes at all off acacia, or if those trichomes have next to no dmt, there is really not much you can do..
you can try finding plants that have higher concentrations in the leaves and grow and breed those, but most of your alkaloid increase is going to be from growing conditions rather than genetics (though genetics does have a part to play).

the most you could do (i would speculate) would be to increase the amount of roots/rootbark grown in comparison to the rest of the plant matter, and to increase the % of dmt in the plant...

but i also feel like the amount of money spent on providing an adjustable environment for the tree would outweigh the amount of alkaloids you get, though i could be wrong.

i am no expert, but thats my 2 cents
