Hi everyone I'm new here, have not broke through, and am curious about something.

I have heard the carrier wave a few times now, and once saw the "door" where everything tunnels... However, I only hear the carrier wave in my left ear. It feels... Off balance, and I almost feel as if it is the reason I cannot resonate with it properly. My right side of my body/mind/head feels like dead weight while the left side is humming away.

Is it normal to only hear the wave from one ear? Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!

I only get it in my left only too. Honestly I never really thought about it so it doesn't bother. That's just the way it is for me. Once I breakthrough though the carrier wave goes away for me and is sometimes replaced by other sounds. Those ones are in "stereo" for lack of a better word...

Have you considered smoking in a different location or facing a different cardinal direction?

Actually, no, now that you mention it. I have being doing it in the exact same spot in almost a ritual like fashion, ensuring my set is good. I have kept mentioning to my wife and myself that I should try somewhere else. I am also spacing my attempts out, pretty much only attempting on weekends. I have not counted how many attempts/sessions I have had, but it would probably be nearing 10. More than half were very below breakthrough, with only 3 maybe that felt possible and had a distinct carrier wave.

My very first time I saw the closed eye tunnelling the strongest, with a clear doming effect and light in the center, perfectly round even though the tunnel seemed to be flowing in from 3 separate funnels. The Google Chrome icon is very similar actually, if you'd imagine the pieces around the circle funnelling inside towards the circle. As it was forming I felt as if fingers were poking and probing me... The reason I say fingers is because the pattern of colors that seemed to come from the sides resembled them, and the feeling was as if I was being read by someone. It is still the closest I have got.

I have had one open eye experience, where I decided to keep my eyes open the whole entire time. The world did not shatter away, but it was turning into fractals and felt like I was seeing the whole world spin in front of me.

I also could not stop laughing, I felt like I was being tickled, and teased.

Can these elves play tricks from outside the gate?! haha...
