i did a extraction with 500 grams acacia confusa root bark blended as fine as i could get it mixed one part methylhydrate 2 parts water vinagar mix (10 percent vinagar) left it in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours drained water put aside then put same mix of methyl. water vinagar let it sit on a slow cooker for 8 hours then repeated once more. i took all the liquid discarded the root bark. i then mixed all th eliquid with some lye brought it up to a PH of 12 (using digitual ph meter) mixed then started to pull with some naptha 3 times and put it all in the freezer there was such a small amout of dmt crystal was quite sad any pointer or do you think the dmt source itself is just a poor dmt containing plant or maybe this isnt real root bark i have heard that some ppl sell regular bark claiming its root bark

Did you let the bark sit in the lye for any length of time???

Sometimes it needs to sit for a while to get nice and destroyed...THEN maybe something will come out... Peace!

do you know any details about the time and season the plant was harvested? or did you just order it online? there seems to be increasing evidence that acacias have quite significantly decreased dmt levels during flower and after rain... sometimes completely devoid. a friend recently extracted from an otherwise consistent tryptamine acacia (he has extracted from this species multiple times, each with consistent percentages of dmt in both phyllodes and bark.).. he harvested some bark from a dead tree which had been exposed to rain the days before and was in flowering season. the bark, which usually contains 1% had a much lower 0.23%

At an Entheogenic conference a Speaker stated that in his time extracting and testing DMT in Plants that he 'Would go and take samples from plants, and that one day the plant could have little or NO DMT content, but on other days not too different to the last The plants could have lots of alkaloids'

He said it could have just been the weather or his intentions, and That the variables to take in account were endless!
