Here is a sad story of a local teen who went on a journey and never came back: http://www.pressdemocrat...o-further-open-his-mind-Who knows what admixtures the ayahuascero added to the brew or what else the young psyconaut had taken to "enhance" the experience. We must treat these materials with respect and take care when administering them to others. there's already a thread running on this subject. Nobody can say that Ayahuasca was responsible for his death based on the ways they operated. "Eat your vegetables and do as you're told, or you won't be going to the funfair!"

Wonder what the toxicology report will say? perhaps the young man as negatively effected by the MAOI in the brew. Perhaps he was on some sort of anxiety/depression medication that was too much in combo with the brew? Incredibly sad! I'm really glad to see that the family is being understanding EVEN though the leader of this retreat obviously LIED to their faces about their dead son. Unbeleiveable! Coinci-Transcendentalism

Who knows what happened, i mean he was left to wander about alone in the jungle in an intoxicated state. It could have been anything. It's too early to speculate with the number of possible factors surrounding his death. "Eat your vegetables and do as you're told, or you won't be going to the funfair!"

ive heard of people mixing brugsmansia and other tropane plants into brews, and these are extremely dangerous and lethal. i know quite a few people like to mix them with there spice, and it seems some dont understand the dangers.

They can give many positive effects, and many brews contain toe. Mapacho may also be added, and nicotine is extremely toxic in high doses, and been responsible for at least 1 reported death. I had wanted to go to the Amazon to drink ayahuasca. Now I am more hezitant about doing so, even though it is my dream. disclaimer: cirquefreak333 is a fictional character used in a novel I am writing, and none of the things a real person may type is anything a real person, living or dead, ever experienced or thought

Statistically, there's a much higher chance for you to get killed in a traffic accident (or in many other ways, depending on where your journey takes you) before you even get there than to die from drinking the brew, so nothing changed really.

Yeah this is a real sad story. I for one have also almost died on DMT too, but in the end I was still given a choice and I chose this illusion we're in right now. For those interested my head was being pressed face down in to my pillow while I was in a different dimension at the end of the trip I was basically with god (who is me and everyone) who said this is death you are dead you can stay here now in your true residation point or you can rejoin the illusion, I almost stayed but chose the illusion at the end for the same reason the illusion was created in the first place, at this point I opened my eyes and pushed my head off the pillow and gasped for air. Perhaps this young gentleman chose not to rejoin the illusion just a theory.

There are many good real Shamen out there. What happened to this poor chap is as of yet not fully known, and given Ayahuasca's history of rather safe useage, not necessarily caused by it. He was unbelievably left alone to wander in the jungle - this would not happen if he had seen a proper shaman, or even if he just drank it with reasonably responsible friends. What happened to the poor chap may never have happened if the ceremony was supervised as it always is. But leave a vulnerable intoxicated chap wander alone in unknown territory and what do you expect to occur sooner or later??? See what i mean? ..If you're really concerned then why not visit a Shaman who lets you brew your own Ayahuasca, and has been reccomended by friends. If not, ask the Shaman if the Ayahuasca is only made with Chakruna, etc. There are many well known (but rather expensive) retreats out there that seem to be highly reccomended, and they don't operate like the one in question, which anyway was an anomoly in the world of retreat centres. I would think that it's more likely, if you had continued to not breathe, that you would have passed out and your body would have moved you away from the pillow, either by just rolling or, in the extreme, by convulsing.

Wow. I have literally seen the "Step into the Fire" documentary just the other day. This is extremely disturbing news. I wondered what was up with their website (I had a gander out of pure curiosity) being so empty but didn't think more of it. The shaman already looked shady to me in the film, though the rest of the people seemed genuinely sincere. I'm curious about a statement from their part and a conclusive cause of death. I really dislike how they just blame Ayahuasca without any proof. I think physically you can drink a huge dose of Aya before getting to the LD-50. There must be something more to the story. ––––––
DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction. I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!
