Hey everyone!

I discovered this forum a couple of days ago when I first started seriously looking into DMT. This seems like my cup of tea so here I am!

I'm 21 years old, not really much of a drug person but I've held an interest in entheogens for many years. I wasn't a very happy individual prior to my introduction to psychedelics though. I had no confidence and suffered from depression and anxiety my entire life.

I had my share of magic mushrooms two years back which ended in me experiencing temporary depersonalization disorder and chronic panic attacks for several months. I also regularly experienced sleep paralyzis and out of body experiences along with visual and auditory hallucinations right before falling asleep at nights. Terrifying but interesting nonetheless.

Perhaps it was just Nature's way of scolding me and pointing me into the right direction. Who knows? Anyway, I'd say it was sort-of a wake up call for me to go and do something about my problems.

I'm a spiritual person, consider myself a hermeticist and hold a deep interest in shamanism, magick and spagyric alchemy. That being said I'd really like to try fusing my knowledge on spagyric processes with DMT extraction, making it more of a ritual than just a vulgar chemical process.

I still have a lot to learn so don't expect any major contributions yet. It might be years until I can get around this since I don't have my own place yet and I don't have a stable job either. Until then I'll just keep reading, or as they say, "Ora, lege, lege, lege, relege, labora et invenies".

Peace Smile

Welcome Andmoreagain!

My past shares some similarities with yours. I was introduced to DMT around age 21. Always a bit socially anxious and had regular insomnia with visual and auditory hallucinations even when I didn't have trouble sleeping.

I'm also interested in how you feel you could apply spagyric alchemy to the extraction process. Very intriguing skill.

Take your time reading up on the information here, I know I lurked around for years with a dummy account for Searching and downloading PDF's/etc. The Wiki/Handbook/Lexicon/ and every forum I've checked is filled with delightful and insightful discussions.

Enjoy your stay!
The inner soul is full of joy. Reveal my secrets and sew me whole. With each day, "I" heeds your call.
You may not care the slightest and may not be the brightest, but from here "I" sees you're mighty for you created it all.

And the jumbling sea rose above the wall.

Through this chaos comes the order you enthrall.

Hey, welcome!

That's awesome that you managed to avoid other drugs during that personal funk. I certainly didn't in my own, but DMT has been a big help (work in progress).

Yeah well, drugs have never done much for me personally. Booze makes me sick, weed bores the shit out of me and coke makes me feel dead inside. Psychedelics are the only ones I can relate to.

That sucks about your panic attacks and sleep paralysis. I suppose I would tread carefully with psychedelics if I was you. How frequently were you dosing then?

Yeah it wasn't very pleasant but that darkest phase passed pretty quickly. I haven't had any panic attacks or serious sleep problems for the past year. As far as psychedelics go, I treat them with far more respect now than I did back then. I was eating around 150 - 200 liberty caps every weekend for several weeks before my breakdown.

And could you explain more about the uses of spagyric alchemy? I've never heard of that.

Well, it's basically a form of alternative medicine based around the alchemical concept of "Solve et Coagula" or separating and joining together. It follows the basic alchemical principles except that you're working with plants instead of minerals. As I see it, the alchemical or spagyric process is a metaphor for the spiritual development of the alchemist himself, like a shamanic ritual of sorts. If you're interested there's a fine book on the subject called "Spagyrics" by Manfred M. Junius.

Thanks!

As for spagyric extraction, it's just a matter of little experimentation. I haven't fully thought it through yet. What I've figured out so far is that it would have to be an eco-friendly extraction tek. No naphtha and no lye. Instead it would have to involve ethanol since that is the generally accepted Alkahest of the plant kingdom. The ethanol would also have to be prepared according to the art, which means low-heat distillation of unburnt wine. Also, taking the plant material (Prima Materia) straight out of nature would be a big plus.

I found a thread where a Nexus member was doing an extraction using ethanol and white vinegar. That is definitely something I could work with: https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=30501

As for the actual spagyric process I'm not quite sure. I'd have to do some normal extractions to begin with to see how one would go about it from an alchemical perspective.
