SWIM has Salvia 5X, isnt that interested, the only substances he really wants to try are DMT and mescaline and of course ayahuasca. However I don't have enough money to buy what I need to attempt an extraction, and one of my friends thinks that I am not ready for dmt. I don't know if that's true or not. Would smoking salvia help prepare me for the dmt experience? How similar are the affects of salvia to the affects of dmt? Is it better to smoke it or eat it? I'm concerned about my lungs, but I want to consume it in a way that would most benefit me spiritually, I know that shamons used salvia orally but smoking it might be stronger, and I don't have a scale so I can't measure out a dose and with smoking I can pay attention to how i feel and stop if its too much but with eating it it takes longer for the affects to happen I dont want to use too much but also I want an experience that is similar to "breaking through".

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I made a post titled "whats the difference?" here in the open discussion venue.

Read it. The conversation there will answer your question in great detail.

Salvia and DMT are two completely different things. I did a lot of salvia 20x years before I ever tried DMT and I think that it had a detrimental effect as far as preparing me for DMT.

I say this because I was young and stupid and was obviously overdosing on salvia every time I smoked it, I would load up a whole bowl of 20x and try to get it all it one go.Thumbs down This made for a lot of really rough experiences but they were so reality shattering I was intrigued, it was like a car wreck that I kept going back to look at even though it was horrifying.

It also seems that a lot of people have bad experiences with smoked salvia anyway, so you may want to consider that. I have also heard mixed things about being able to use the enhanced leaf in the mouth, some say it works others say you can only use plain leaf. I've never tried so I couldn't say.

Since becoming interested in DMT I haven't went for a breakthrough mainly because I am afraid it will be like a salvia breakthrough and that is something I don't think I want to experience again anytime soon. I have started quite low with DMT and found that it is absolutely nothing like salvia, for me DMT is much more natural and so far much nicer than salvia. DMT can kick your ass though so it is best to treat every substance with respect.

Remember you don't have to breakthrough, you can start low and work your way up as you feel comfortable.

Safe travels.

can you give me a link to it? I am so obsessed with dmt, I want to try it so bad, but all I have is salvia.

I think I am going to wait and read up and go to church and meditate to make sure I have a good experience because on other drugs I had bad trips and also I hear voices, not as often as I used to but I want to wait for those to subside on their own because I don't want to be stuck in a trip space forever.

I am definitely more interested in DMT then Salvia. I want to break through, though, I want to find God or spirits. I only have a little less than a gram of salvia, I don't want to waste it with a subpar, merely recreational experience, I want something spiritual but not soul shattering and I don't want to get stuck there forever.

I dont know how to post a link but the conversation is on page 2 of the "open discussion" forum. The posting is titled "what is the difference?".

Allow me to tell you this:
Imbibing DMT is most definitely a serious matter that requires preparation, prior knowledge of what one is doing(your doing that research now by asking questions), and safety considerations.

With that said I must also make it known that certain entities(of which there are MANY on the "other side" of that "doorway"Pleased have been making contact with ME. I didnt seek them by partaking and exploring, THEY SOUGHT ME.

DMT as is WELL KNOWN by this community is in ALL living things. We produce it naturally in our DREAM STATE.

I have been having moments as of late where I am suddenly thrust into a DMT trip without outside influence. I have described them here in the nexus and various community members have confirmed that they are just that.

Our concioussness as the human race is ascending.

To any that read this:
Explore the themes I have put forth here, ask your guides about them, ponder them to yourselves.

Take my words straight, with a grain or three of salt, or to the garbage can. Just dont ignore them please

a smoked dmt breakthrough is virtually nothing like a smoked salvia breakthrough, IME. Basically the only thing they have in common is the insanely high level of wierdness/otherdimensionality/intensity, that deja vu sense of being 'familiar' with this state (for me at least), the fast come on, and the short duration.. Besides that, there really isn't many similarities. They are two very different experiences- and i don't think the character of one should influence peoples assumptions regarding the other

But because of those similarities and the sheer intensity of it, i do think salvia can help prepare people, in some sense at least, for dmt...but i don't really recommend it in this way because far too often people are taking way too much salvia in smoked form to have a good experience, and all to often its in a terrible set/setting to boot. This can be a really harsh intro to the psychedelic experience (it was for me!) and in many cases scare people from psychedelics for good.

But if you genuinely want to work with salvia i would look into quidding the leaf. You can smoke it too of course but i think you can work with it much easier through quidding

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

What is quidding and how would I quid? How would I know how much to quid to achieve a breakthrough experience? I don't have a scale.
