I added near the same amout of salt water to the syrian rue water, but i was using a 24.9g (4:1ish) crude extract (acid water boil and reduction) of syrian rue from 112g of raw product, i couldn't tell ya how much salt or water i used, just enough to dissolve the max amount of salt. The solution is pretty murky and basically impossible to see through, i added more regular room temp water and put in the fridge. I am going to wait over night untill tomm. morning to check on the stats of precipitation. I started off with about 12oz total solution, and after adding water, im probably at about 1.2-1.5L.

If anyone feels there is anything i can do please chime in, it'd be mucho mucho appreciation. This is my first time extracting harmala, and from a crude 4:1 extract that i already had previously i just wanted to purify.

There probably wasnt anything wrong with it until you added more water. Pull it out of the freezer, reboil it until it starts getting nice and concentrated again, add salt until no more dissolves in the hot water, filter, put it in the freezer and be patient... precipitates will form a cake of brown harmala/salt crystals.

Yep! Remember to filter it before freezer to get rid of excess salt. Because your soln will be super saturated, it will precip a final product of salt and harmala. Filter all of it and let dry. Can then be further purified if desired but this is still a nice potent harmala mix.

Hey kash, thanks again. I am following your advice. ill boil it down to about the same and set it in the fridge. Im adding more salt but not too much. I will also filter. I mean this 4:1 crude extract i had.... Man i took 1tsp and totally vom'd till i couldnt vom any more... Basically had a straight harmala experience which wasnt too fun but sorta rewarding. But hey thanks again ill let you know how it went asap.

Ya lol you dont want to drink that stuff lol salty vinegar water mmmm not tasty. Put it in the freezer preferably, it wont freeze but will precip the goodies that you filter out and save.

Hey, i wouldnt dream of it... ick. I have a profound gag reflex for syrian rue because of my crude extract... Will do. Its in the works, i know patients is key here.

Funny thing i was boiling some passion flower tea while i was waiting (contained 27g fresh vine, leaf, flower bud all together for one glass of 8oz) and i reduced and cooled it... As i was downing it, after it got to below room temp i noticed when i was almost done chugging i saw some little yellow particles rush down the bottom of my glass into meh yapper o_O

Okay so on the first pull i left the solution in the fridge over night and i filtered the bottom stuff off. It's a lighter color than the crude extract i started off with so i know thats a good sign, and it has a sparkle to it as well.... I probably end up getting at least a gram with this first one. Its sitting in the freezer now for... Idk about 4 or 5 hours so i am going to do another pull.
