Tripping outside was interesting to say the least. I had my eyes closed so I didn't notice the randomness of my natural surroundings. I think it even enhanced my trip in Ouray because of the sheer vastness of the skyline. It was pretty awesome and there were some very old intities there.
I'm not sure what makes me think they were old but something about their wisdom and their presence seemed ancient as the mountain I sat upon. They weren't loving and happy-go-lucky like some i've encountered (and I've only encountered intities about a third of the time I've broken through) so much as they were just very understanding and encouraging. I felt like they pushed me further and gave me a feeling of deep insight into the higher dimensions.
It has been hard for me to understand why they felt fatherly or just plain wise compared to others I've met, as the notion of time seems to dissolve in that state and I'm not sure why one interdimensional being would be wiser than another. Maybe they weren't as "ditsy" (for disgusting lack of a better term... I need more coffee) as the jester-like beings that normally appear in my appartment.
As far as my trip in Dripping Springs, I was in a dimly lit tent with my girlfriend. I think that was the best trip I've ever had. I went farther than I've ever gone there and the background music was provided by a good friend of mine in our sound camp (we were at a burn/festival called Freezerburn). I had a hard time integrating this experience as I had taken a few different substances that weekend.
Suffice it to say I was more impressed with the molecule than I've ever been. I remember only opening my eyes after the trip and seeing my girlfriend shatter into 50 different girlfriends in a linear fashion as when you stand in the middle of an elevator with mirrors on both sides and the feedback loop is created. Each one of her selves was a different possibility of what she could be in a different slice of space time.
Tripping outside... it was cool. I wouldn't put it over tripping indoors though. Wherever I'm most comfortable and feeling most loved seems to be where I trip the best and at Freezerburn many of my good buddies were there and it was an incredible bonding experience for my mate and I.
