1. The screen is significantly larger than the inner diameter of the GVG chamber, so it has to be carefully formed into a bowl-like shape – almost a hemisphere. I put the screen in the chamber like a right side up bowl. It might work better (less glass contact) if put in like an upside down bowl.

Upside down won't work better, DMT will make it to the glass at the edge of the screen and run down the side. Are you positioning the screen just below the filter top or further down? Because there's hardly any glass contact the way I have it.

2. I tried only 15mg, and when melted, DMT does cling to it quite well. However, the DMT forms a solid film over the surface with no air gaps. Prior to vaporization, air has to flow around the “blot” of melted DMT. The result seems to be slower vaporization.

I did not experience slower vaporization compared to using copper mesh. I don't pre-melt with the titanium screen, since there's no need. Seems like you pre-melted, leading to the "blot" of DMT and possibly more restricted airflow? Could also just be due to a difference in our standard techniques.

3. I always inhale gently and slowly, but my guess is that if one were to inhale too forcefully, the DMT would be pulled/sucked off the screen and would drip.

I tried inhaling faster than normal and didn't get any drips. What I got was increased condensation in the pipe. Maybe if I had pre-melted, drips would have occurred? I'm sure there is some point at which the force of suction will cause drips, just as it would with copper mesh.

4. I haven’t noticed any leakage, so I think it is more effective than screens made from polished wire.

This is key. Leakage was my major concern when I got the screen. None seen.

Re the pros: I believe there are more than two pros. Just my opinion. Smile

Re the cons:

Agreed.

In my experience, vaporization is not slower.

It was less than 5 minutes of tedium for me. When you add up the time it takes to form the copper discs to the right size and density, then clean with acetone and evaporate, it's a wash. An added benefit of the titanium screen is it will last a lot longer than copper discs.

Agreed, there's definitely a limit, and copper discs can hold much more. I've done 30mg with no leakage. 50mg+ might be too much for one screen. Any volunteers want to put this to the test? Big grin

I think the titanium screen might actually be more forgiving when it comes to technique. But my newbie days are long gone and I can't really be objective. It would be interesting to see if a complete newbie would find it easier to deal with this screen or a copper disc.

How about double bagging it, copper disc on the bottom with a titanium screen above it.

Best of both worldsVery happy
