hello all,

this is my first post here, or anywhere, regarding my travels to innerspace. i'm 45, and have been fortunate to have had my passport stamped at quite a few amazing destinations. my modes of transportation were more pedestrian than most - lsd and shrooms - but they got me to where i needed to go. or rather, they took me to where i needed to be. buy the ticket...right? i've lost my mind, found it, and have come back a better man. i say this to let readers know that i'm a relatively experienced traveler.

a fews months back, my travel agent recommended that i visit a new destination. as an avid explorer, of course i was up to experience a never before seen location. i like trips. i packed my bags, fastened my seatbelt, and was off.

now, to be clear, i don't THINK i've crossed the border. i haven't, like many of you have discussed, talked with aliens or kissed the feet of god. i haven't bonded with the universe. but i did have an experience that was unlike any other trip i've ever been on. this happened last night and i'm still processing it.

i was on repeat. rewind. a never ending madness of the same. the same. the same.

i know for a fact that while in the trip i smoked more. the pipe and bag were in a different place than i had left it. i could not, for the life of me, escape the cycle. i was utterly trapped in the same ground-hog moment - smoke, same thoughts, same music, same behavior, same twitches, same universe, same everything. smoke, repeat.

totally bizzare. i've had a wonderful time with this new land - never quite achieving what you guys are calling a breakthru - but that's ok with me. i really like the souvenirs i'm collecting along the way.

anyone ever experience anything like this?

glad to know this site, and you all, exist. peace to everyone.

Welcome, JDK! Enjoy your travels and do yourself a favor and read everything you can find time to read on these forums! This is an incredible community of intelligent, experienced, and wonderful people!

I think we've all experienced what you mentioned in our early days. You should consider learning the coveted STB extraction technique and start harvesting your own spice. It is one of the most rewarding experiences that a traveler can have! And you seem like you have enjoyed your travels thus far! And did i mention its as easy as 1 2 3.... D M T!!!!???

Doing the extraction yourself not only gives you the peace of mind of knowing what you are ingesting, but it brings you much closer to the abundant joy that is DMT.

Check out the GVG or similar vapor vessels and also check out the changa forums! These are my only suggestions for you at this point! Have a good weekend!!

Good read, I've had that loop type of deal happen to me on strong lsd trips. Very trippy, not always the most comfortable either.

hey whatisreal,

yeah, it was unique to say the least, and that's why i posted. i started traveling in 1985 with mushrooms, and then acid, and have probably taken over 200 trips. again, not as many as some, but a wonderful journey of self-actualization, spiritual awakening, and just plain mind-boggling weirdness. lol.

this was my 15th dmt trip. 13 were cool. intensely visual. like i wrote above, i haven't experienced hyperspace yet. i did have one trip where i thought i was insane. crazy. shattered ego. time and space were abstract and all i knew was my own inability to process rational thought. but i came out of it feeling positive - more sane than ever. so i don't count that as a bad trip.

last night was different. i really wanted it to stop. i didnt know where i, and time, began or ended. it was just 5 minutes of my life, over and over again, for eternity. the same 5 minutes. on repeat. infinity. and beyond.

anyway, thanks for reading and posting. i ain't stopping. lol. not yet at least. i still have room in the overhead compartment. Smile

Your travel agent doesn't happen to be William Shatner? haha! Just kidding!

DO NOT TRUST THAT MAN!! ; )

Speaking of which, i have to share..

One of my many journeys into hyper space goes as follows...(this is the abridged version)

I was soaring through an alien city.. The landscape was filled with futuristic buildings. It was like a scene out of star wars, but I was floating through it. The buildings were all levitating above ground and there were gigantic power rings humming around each and every structure. Following me, guiding me, and reassuring me, were thousands of tiny tinkerbell like fairie-type entities who communicated with me nonverbally. They assured me that they were always there, and that i could come visit them anytime that i wished. They facilitated this realms continual existence and guided incoming tourists to their destinations. They advised me that there were most certainly other travelers in the same realm with me, and that they took pride in what i eventually branded "DMT TRAVEL SERVICES: The one stop shop for interdimensional space travel". I literally pictured the fairies in an office type setting, coordinating the DMT travels of thousands of travelers! haha

It was a blissful experience and i remember it clearly to this day. I had to laugh afterwards, and contemplate... "where there really other travelers sharing the same space with me?"... and "perhaps there are travelers from far away lands sharing my hallucinations without my knowledge!"

MOT -

fantastic! what an amazing experience, for sure! i won't pretend that i know about psychic-linkage, or universal connectedness - not quite sure i, personally, believe that. i have experienced an intense, quasi-spiritual bonding with friends who were tripping with me, tho. Smile

super cool man. enjoy the ride!

These loop experiences can unfortunately be rather popular especially for some people. I used to get them a lot, but not so much anymore. I have no idea why they happen or if they serve any real purpose other than possibly being a glitch of some sort. Living the same thing over and over again can be rather frightening. I'm not sure even really what advice to give other than these things can require some good deal of patience sometimes and that if you can tough it out without despairing that it can often result in some of the most sensational experiences of a lifetime.

thanks global.

i do plan on "toughing it out" - the benefit, transcendence (or whatever you what to call it that works for you) is worth the effort. i've had "bad trips" on lsd/shrooms and realize they are also part of the journey - i've learned something from each and every experience.

thanks for sharing - it's good to know that someone else went thru the same thing.

cheers

I know you had music playing, and I found these loops to be more common when I would either have music playing or if there were some physical world sound droning (even if I was unaware of it). So one time for example I blasted off next to my mini-fridge (in an unusual location) and I'm pretty sure it was the hum from the fridge that got me caught in the loop. Sound really affects and entrains hyperspace to a great extent. It's been my observation that everything you see in hyperspace is sound or is moved through its own sound (whether or not you perceive it as such) and that sounds from the physical world can dominate these more subtle sounds at times. Sometimes things go smoothly, but other times it catches you in a loop.

very interesting.

a few weeks back, on a great dmt trip, i was listening to Air (the virgin suicides) - i literally WAS the music. i became one with it - it flowed back and forth thru my body. very cool. as i write this, i'm thinking maybe i did indeed cross over into hyperspace. i have just never seen aliens or had conversations with entities.

anyway, last night i put on Pel Mel (interstate) - it is somewhat repetitive and perhaps that triggered the loop.

thanks for sharing global! i think my next time, which very well might be tonight, i'll try no music. i'll report back my findings. Smile

cheers

what a bummer. two bad trips in a row. first the loop i wrote about above, and then last night, insanity again. madness mixed with utter loneliness. thankfully, i don't remember much of it - i was so deeply inside nothingness, and an unimaginable separation from the universe and my soul - it's a blur. what i do remember is holding my head with both hands and repeating, "i have lost my mind" over and over again. i came out of it profoundly sad. empty. shattered.

but i know why this is happening. me. i'm in a weird headspace right now - work, relationships, normal life crap, etc. but i know better than to blast off when i'm not mentally prepared for it. for christ sakes, this isn't my first rodeo. and yet i still went ahead with the trips, only to get my ass kicked. badly.

all that said, in the end, i'm grateful for the lesson - one, apparently, i needed to learn again. this is a journey, not an escape. my baggage wasn't packed well enough to take a trip. i think i'll just wait at the station for awhile until i'm ready to get on the bus again. and yes, i will get on the bus again - i'm already looking forward to it. Smile

peace

Yeah, that's happened to me several times as well. The first time it happened I was listening to this Perpetual Groove song "Sun Dog", and I both saw and became the music. I was so enveloped in my musical state of being that I had completely forgotten what was going on. When it occurred to me that I was laying on my couch on DMT and realized what was going on, I thought it was the coolest thing. One of the surround sound speakers was next to my left ear, so I was literally seeing the music streaming from that direction, being projected outward.

On another occasion I wasn't even listening to music but the loud kids in the lower apartment began listening to blaring rap (not my thing at all) just as I was holding my hit in. I once again became the music, but this time I managed to retain better awareness through the situation. I recall having some very odd visions. There were these archetypal girls (like golden mannequin figurines) running over these Seuss-like hills and the girls would rapidly and seamlessly morph into other running "figurines" such as zebras for example. Anyway, good luck with integrating your experiences thus far, and with your future endeavors.

Early on when I first started smoking spice I loaded up 75mg 1:1 changa and took acouple solid drags from the pipe. I was pretty much "there", but I still had that small thread of identification with the external, so my buddy that was sitting next to me had the pipe with a little bit of spice left near the bottom.

I remember (whilst there fully immersed) picking up my right arm and motioned for my buddy to come over and stick the pipe in my mouth and light the rest of what had been in the bowl. Big, big mistake.

I remember him lighting it saying "go"...and I started to inhale with my eyes closed still fully immersed in hyperspace, and as I took the hit in I could feel it disperse throughout my body..and within seconds the intensity grew unimaginably. I was immediately thrown into this loop. Music was looped, thoughts, everything. Then of course I started to panic, which threw an extra monkey wrench into the mix. I remember trying to sit up in the chair and i clasped my hands together ina praying position just begging for it to stop. Felt like eternity. I remember looking at the garage door and it would fold up into thousands of itself, then back down. Then I'd look at my friend...and that well...was interesting to say the very least.. thanks for sharing tattvamasi.

it really was a horrific, yet surprisingly enlightening trip. i'm not incredibly spiritual, but i do try to "learn" from my journeys to, and thru, otherworldly lands. like i wrote about at the end of this thread, i realized that my headspace, my life, isn't quite in sync right now. so, i'm working on changing that - making good decisions and positive choices. in my somewhat limited experience with spice, so far, i've learned this - sometimes it gives you a good, old fashioned, hallucinogen kick-started, metaphysical, ego shattering, ass whooping to help you get back on track. Smile

cheers to all.
