I'm a very big fan of psychedelics and love my lsd and shrooms which has led me on the quest for dmt. I was successful in obtaining some and have had my first trip but unfortunatly i had to much or had a very bad trip. I blacked out after my first hit only remembering my first look at the viel. but when i awoke(which felt like a blink of the eye) i was crying passively and had no idea why. i got up quite fast and felt very sick and had to sit back down. but what really was the problem was i think i had a very moving trip but can not remember a thing. I believe i had been destroyed and put back together again and faced a lot of memories and fears from my life but i can not be sure if i just had a very bad reaction to it. I was wondering if anyone has had anything like this happen to them? and should I try again or leave it alone?

also what i smoked was not anywhere near pure but should this be a massive factor when smoking it and this is what it looked like which i know shouldnt be the case it should be yellowish or white so why does my batch look like this?

How much did you partake in? perhaps lower the dosage next time?
I doubt this was a "bad reaction" just an intense trip... go back to visit when you feel ready.

probably 60mg but as u can see its not pure so im not sure how much that amount is in normal terms. I really want to try it again just want to make sure that its not a bad idea to try it again.

Yeah, I agree with Silotech. I say do it again but a much smaller dose. I have read that you can black out if you take too much. My experiences are different every time and I have had scary and beautiful experiences happen almost back to back. So, I wouldn’t want whatever happened on this trip to scare you away from taking DMT again. As far as how pure it is I don’t think it would have much effect on the actual DMT experience, but it could be harmful to smoke. I’m no expert so I do not know for sure. I would recommend that you read the FAQ.

It is possible you are hyper sensitive to DMT, try starting at 10mgs and work your way up by 5-10mgs each time til you find a sweet spot.

This is one of the reasons, it pays off to extract your own DMT. Only then you know what you'll be getting and can feel safe. This is the reason why Skydivers always pack their own parachutes - because they alone will be responsible.

If you are 100% sure it's DMT, try a recrystallisation (look it up on the wiki) to clean up any lye tea residues (brownish spots). Then approach it again with a smaller, measured dose of say 15mg (depending on your smoking method) and go from there...if you think it is a good idea at all. We can't tell you that, only you can.

thanks guys i did as you guys sugested and tried with a smaller amount and i didnt brake through but i had a great start off point this time but loved the experience none the less. i saw beauty of the world around me that i had never seen before and had a great experience. will definatly try extracting my own soon but untill i can get set up im going to try to brakethrough first so i can really tell if its right for me or not.

Candyhunter, I was curious if you have blackouts with other psychedelics or if has been just with the DMT?

It looks like jungle spice that managed to crystallize, but it doesn't look too impure, the fact that it crystallized and is kinda clear seems to say there's more dmt than not. You can acetone wash it but if it doesn't taste bad to you or feel too harsh then I would see it as simply being a cosmetic flaw.

Whoever made it might have gotten some of the die in with the naptha. Sometimes I grab a little with my eyedropper sometimes. My stuff turns our pure white except for what sticks to the jar. So I make changa out of that stuff.

First off, shoulda never gotten it off a buddy or whathaveyou. For all you know that could have been 5MeO being passed off as NN.

But if it truly was NN...well...you need a .001 scale so you know what dose your getting. Not wise to just eye ball some, stick it ina pipe and hope for the best because..more times than not...your gonna get your ass handed to you.

This stuff shouldn't be taken lightly..at all.

Although I've been extracting for close to 3 years now, the very first DMT I ever tried was given to me by a friend, and it was pretty much that same color. It was definitely DMT, but none of my DMT has ever made me feel or had visuals that were quite the same. I can't be sure if this is a simple case of plasticity or if the DMT was really so different, but anyway, I really liked that orange DMT I had way back, and would be interested in trying it again if it ever comes into my possession. Anyway, DMT comes in a variety of colors. As one of the above posters mentioned, I would recrystallize it to clean it up, and good luck with your journeys.

I've had DMT that color- and not only was it fine, but was some of the strongest I've ever tasted.

My only ever bad DMT trip was when I smoked way too much. 60 mg is a massive dose- you can break through in half of that.

Also, I would suggest you stop worrying about whether each experience is a "breakthrough" or not, and enjoy each trip for what it is. Sub-breakthrough doses can be quite profound.

This is what reading trip reports does to you.. If you can't remember a thing, there's no reason to believe you were "destroyed and put back together".
