These lyrics pop out at me as my own personal prayer of sorts as I enter the space. Check it out if you have time!

(As you listen to it, try to imagine getting that pre-flight anxiety, being afraid that 'this time you just won't come back', and let the words carry your mind into the space. It does wonders for me everytime)

Another thing I really enjoyed while being accompanied by DMT is the sound of (a recording of) the Ocean, really relaxing and earthing.

Just curious what everyone else likes to listen to and what other music offers different experiences. So far the best breakthrough was 50mg dose listening to a combination of two things the first being First Snow - Ooah Remix and the second Icaros - Juan Flores starting the first and then the second immediately after is a perfect match and very powerful! So I'm curious what others are doing? =]

I like to listen to Pink Floyd the most... Hey You, Time, Comfortably Numb, etc. Also Led Zeppelin- Stairway to heaven. Smashing Pumpkins- Soma. The Beatles- A Day in the Life. I love the guitar solos while I'm tripping- they are intense. Still, no matter what I listen to, if I breakthrough I am not aware of the music, but I like to have it playing for when I start coming back or in case I have a strong sub-breakthrough.

Yeah I know what you mean but I also feel like even though youre not aware of it youre still subconsciously listening and I feel like if you listen to a dark song it could have a great deal of difference like freak you out or cause a bad trip just curious if it does play a factor or not

Yeah, definitely. I think the music can affect the trip even if you are not aware of it, and that is why I like to play Pink Floyd- it's magical. Also, like you said I think if you were to listen to dark music it could result in a dark trip. I think the setting makes a big difference on what you experience, with auditory sensations being high up there.

well i was inspired to give a quick write up as to why i dont listen to music. the short version is so i can have a completely self generated experience in response to the medicine, the long version is :

i know time is limited so i lower the flame

the cloud exhaled resembling an object in greyscaled impossibility

my chest ballooning
finally i burst by exhaling upwards
everything begins to revolve backwards and inside

i am handed to a god for inspection, on a platter SHE carries
its lips are spiraling into grins of mystery
in its hands, eyes, and mouth TRUTH is forced upon me
i try to look away but am denied
every direction i look, it is waiting for me with a vengeance only it could have

humbled, i am given over to the others
they are pleased in ways i cant imagine
they hijack my thoughts and speak in my minds voice
phrases break into words into syllables into sounds
they are on a conveyor belt running a billion rpm
with each tone carrying meaning infinitely quicker
the place i was is no more and ive forgotten where i am
who i was or what i wanted

i feel drool on my face, the wetness reminds me of something sticky
i see this place colorful and vast with life that knows it as home
they are purply mechanically gooey creatures
ornate with symbolic language that births new meaning as soon its known
they transform to music
to a song made of lasers within a cylindrical dimension
stretching forever horizontally
each beat a blue bar of light infinitely long in such a pinky sticky place
each note commands them in their dance
their bodies disconnect and reassemble rhythmically
they are all under the songs influence
autonomously operated by the sounds
it is the voice the great mind, which they are fractals of
they are appendages like angels
hilariously turning the pages of my mind
folding my brain, joyously picking it clean of negativity
as i am in my own head?!
these pink womenish things are inside me, as is thier controlling master

i open my eyes in ecstasy to see a room imbued with divinity
i see a reality i had long since forgotten
this super dimension now visible i see the universe clearly
there is no isolation, there is no sadness, there is only energy
connecting everything as it has and will forever
i am a node in this network

i do as im instructed in my dance under the guide of the super consciousness
that i am now partially aware of
each second of awe satisfies a life of confusion
i live in these moments eternally

pinkness so pure but i know it wont deepen

I listen to the alien sounds that DMT lets me hear in hyperspace, no sounds on earth come close to those alien basslines and rythyms

its kind of like a shpongle + glitch hop + electronica

I really like to play pretty lights when I blast off just something about his music that is so comforting and soothing. I have pretty much exclusively listened to pretty lights every time, accept a handful of random times with either no music or I listened to blackmill a couple of times.

night before last i was sitting on my back porch, 3 am or so... there were several owls chatting right behind my house & further back on the property (i have a 480 acre plot) a pack of coyotes was raising 9 kinds of hell... it was maybe the most amazing sound sculpture i could imagine for a session... a little hard to put together at moment's notice though...

lacking the wild life, any project containing Jerry Garcia or Steve Kimock...

If you haven't already, I highly suggest going in darkness and listening to the sounds of hyperspace, you might be quite surprised! I (re)introduced a few friends to hyperspace over the weekend, and 2 of them were very surprised that they heard music out there personally I find music to be a grounding influence, although I am very interested to use different types of hum or drones. Carbon Based Lifeforms have done an hour long drone (I forget the name) which I think is made just for this purpose. I can imagine it having a soothing effect on the nerves before hand. Will report back on that one!

P.S. Mew, loved the monologue! Parts of it resonated deeply with me, apart from the taking more than 1 toke part

if im smoking a small amount just to sort of chill and meditate i listen to the grateful dead

if im smoking to be impressed i listen to darkpsy like enchain, osom, atriohm, will o wisp ect act

if im smoking to get there, i listen to chillout like aes dana, carbon based lifeforms

i live with 7 other people so i rarely blast off in silence because someone someware is always making noise

smoking outside, i like to find a place were the birds sing (thats the best)
