Firstly, mods, please accept my apologies if this isn't allowed it's just I know the nexians are a knowledgeable bunch and I wanted to ask for advice. It's not DMT related.

I have pills that are prolonged release. They are prescribed legitimately. They are quite sedating and lately I've been having increasing difficulty sleeping. Is there anyway I can get the full dose, rather than the prolonged release dosing. They are not capsules, but chalky "bullets".

Again, sorry if not allowed, and thanks for advice.

I would suspect there is a safety component attached to that time release factor, and that it wouldn't be in your best interests to try overriding that. If you are genuinely unable to sleep, either tell your doctor or, even better, try a more physically active lifestyle. Sedentary living can lead to acute sleep problems.

I too have trouble sleeping lately..(sedentary life > def)

I take 0.5mg Alprazolam (Xanax is the US name...I got mine in India) and a glass of wine and I'm out for 8 hours straight.
They are anti anxiety meds but are fantastically sedative..Love em'

I think this question is for the one who prescribed them to you - I guess your doctor. We will be hardly able to help you here.

The only advice I would give you is to try to get of any medication if possible.

Really go back to the prescriber.

I agree smokerx. Jarl Von Hoother, please be more respectful. If you think something is wrong/bad, explain why, give constructive criticism. This way the thread gets enrichened.

To the OP: What exact medication is it?

Also, trouble sleeping can be associated with bad eating habbits and lack of exercise. So are you exercising and eating in a balanced way?

See the thing is that maybe you can just break up the medication so that the excipients (sp?) break and the time-release aspect is "overriden" but its important to question the safety of it too, so thats why we need to know what exact medication.

You are certainly entitled to mix and match all you want, but recommending a benzo &alcohol combo for anything other than suicide is, in my opinion, bad advice.

Yes...if you take a handful and then down a bottle of vodka, I would expect a quick exit...
