I see Plant People

Hello everyone,

Well, I've been to many forums to read but never really felt the need to join one and chat, and I don't have a lot of spare time for it either.
Now this is something else, this is really an area of discussion that I want to dig in further, I can't talk about it with most people, but I get very excited and talkative when it comes down to this. I've been reading around this forum and I like what I see.

So, about me, I'm 29, I do office work in the day time, the rest of my time is spend playing drums alone or with my band (Rock / Metal), training in Taijutsu and Jujutsu, watching Animes/Series/Movies, and researching on various subjects that I find amazing, such as Ancient Civilizations, Shamanism, all things related to Ancient Egypt, Transhumanism, Technologies ... a whole bunch of stuff. I love guys like Graham Hancock, the Mc Kenna brohers, Bill Hicks, Raymond Kurzweil and many more..

About my background...I started smoking joints at about 17 and never completely stopped, though I now smoke a bit less than the first few years. I do get drunk sometimes but that's really not often. Like many others, booze has affected my family and I've always been making sure I don't get the same drinking habit as I've got with smoking basically.
I've done various other drugs along the years but it's never become a habit, just those 4/5 times a year. I like it like that, I've never had issues with trying a drug as long as I understand the mechanisms that could turn it into something negative.
As far as psychedelics go, I've pretty much always been away from them. People around me weren't doing it, and I knew very little about them. I did shrooms about 3 times back some years ago, but never in a shamanic way, just as a party tool. I didn't like it much, always made me feel quite uneasy, which now make sense because of the poor set/setting. Salvia a couple of time as a party tool as well...wet dynamite.
I never did LSD either because I rarely saw some and never felt ready for it, but I plan to do it someday though, and it'll be amazing.
I've got close to zero experience with Tryptamines.

My opinion and interest about psychedelics changed radically during the last 3 years, I got to know more details about DMT and shamanism first through Graham Hancock, whom I had been following for quite a while, which then led me to Rick Strassman, and then Terence Mc Kenna & friends. I must say, everything about DMT and visionary plants just blew my mind, and even more as through research I started to realize how many other domains it is connected to. That just opened a huge new door of research for me, and I m the curious type of guy. How could I have missed this for so long? My view of the world has changed a lot in quite a short time...
Not being able to find DMT (and a kinda "let it find you" attitude), I have nevertheless started working with Salvia for the past year or so, and I love it. I find it so incredible... every time I come back, I JUST CANT BELIEVE THIS CAN BE DONE AGAIN. I will be happy to discuss Salvia and my experiences with you guys.
I have drunk Ayahuasca about a year ago, and it was great but fairly weak (purging was on the contrary very much there), and the ceremony was disturbed by an unexpected loud party that started close to us after the first hour.
Now DMT...well maybe it did find me in the end because I randomly came across it recently and I now have some. But somehow I had doubts about its quality, I take this very seriously, so I looked again at extractions (seemed complicated and dangerous when I looked a while ago), found you, understood the process and voila! I now have everything I need and will proceed to an A/B very soon.

I don't know what lies ahead of me now, but I know that I am getting very close to a crucial point in my life, and I m happy to know that there are people here I can rely on to talk about many things and share what is coming to me. I consider myself extremely lucky to live in a time where such information could cross my path, whatever this is all about, it seems to have something to do with secrets about our nature as human beings (and purpose maybe?), how lucky are we to be able to tap into such fondamental information? I've been thinking about joining a forum for a bit, and getting suddenly so close to my first DMT experience, I thought that, as good' ol Terence said, it's time to find the others.

And I'm French Big grin Twisted Evil

Welcome Kalagan

I think you will find you have come to the right place.

This is probably the perfect venue for what you seek, and you will be hard pressed to find another similar community of high minded and knowledgeable folk on or off the net. We even tend to disagree and squabble in imaginative and intellectually stimulating ways).

Make yourself comfortable here, because I anticipate you have a lot of reading to do... but we all look forward to sharing with you what is most certainly a bold and pioneering adventure in the modern world of entheogenic exploration.

Cheers, Aloha and Namaste

Thank you my Foolish friend, this place really appeals to me, so many things to read indeed, I m glad I found it!
It's a good thing that people disagree, especially on the subjects talked about here, it probably makes the general knowledge of things progress.

How much experience do you have with DMT then? And may I ask you how you got to it?

Hehehehe.

I have more than my fair share of experience. Lucky enough to have come across it back when it still took years of looking, and there weren't ayahuasca tours to Iquitos.

It was something that struck a chord in me the very first time I heard about it.

Of course, no amount of research and experience with the more common psychedelics can prepare you for the spice experience.

I don't really have time to get into more details at the moment, but I really hope you find what you are looking for here. These are a good bunch of people, even when you are fiercely debating with them.

Peace
