Greetings, what a cool community we are in Smile I found this place by starting off with Terence Mckenna, Alan Watts, Ram Dass, Tim Leary, Robert Anton Wilson, Einstein etc. All great thinkers supporting the common theme of merrily merrily life is but a dream so go far into it and explore infinity (as cliche as it sounds). Naturally, experiencing those non-conceptual indescribable aspects of life has become somewhat of a hobby.

I'm very curious about mimosa hostilis root bark powder and simple extraction methods. I'm also curious about vaporizing DMT and how that works. I suspect that people who have no history smoking anything (and who don't like to smoke) would prefer resorting to vaporizing. Having no experience with DMT other than theoretical, it's hard for one to discern accurate extraction methods from sloppy ones. Perhaps someone on this forum knows of a tested and true method?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Welcome, dinven Smile

You can browse at your leisure several DMT extraction methods in the community Wiki.

https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Category:Extraction_Tek#DMT

All of them are "tested and true", as many users here will tell you. Choosing one over another simply depends on your skills, available ingredients and particular preference.

Welcome to the Nexus!

As a fellow newbie, and having never taken a chemistry class in my life, I can tell you that extraction methods are not difficult at all. My biggest hurdle was getting all the correct items to perform the extraction. I had success the very first try except that I didn't know to do multiple pulls....what a waste....makes me sick thinking about it.

I was very intimidated by all the different techs and felt like I would screw it up. Not the case...even for a former Marine. If this is really what you want, you CAN do it. In the end you will look back and think..."What was I so worried about?"

Good luck and safe journeys! Thumbs up

Great! thanks guys, I'm very excited to be here - this seems like a community of very enlightened folks. No egos or flexing, just cool people sharing insights. I'm thankful for the replies I've gotten so far. Cheers for that Smile

Floating around on the internet there is a video by a man named David Barlow. It's called The DMT Workshop, and it comes with a manual. Is anyone here familiar with his video, and know it to be credible? Or maybe have some tips or tweaks to add to his method? He seems like a hardcore nerd, so I of course intrinsically trust him right immediately lol.

And finally, I would appreciate info on Vaporizers if anyone knows about that specifically in regard to dmt. As in, what temperature is needed to vape dmt? Is there a particular vaporizer to get? I've read that the best one is called the volcano. I've also read that using dmt in a vape is bad because dmt melts when heated. but I doubt that to be entirely true. Because I'm so new to this, its hard for me to discern fake information from real information. I strongly suspect dmt is compatible with a vaporizer within a range of temperatures, but as for the specific temp needed, it remains a mystery.

Okay I have so many questions, I'm gonna keep reading through the forum for now!

Thanks again
Dinven

In that video you can see a tutorial of a simple straight-to-base (STB) method. You can watch it, and it will indeed work done properly, but in the Nexus wiki link I left in my previous reply you will find, further detailed, several STB methods. I prefer Acid-Base (A/B) methods myself, but STB methods are not complicated and probably a good idea for a first try. If you don't feel like using chemicals like lye, you can take a look at Q21Q21's tek.

In any case, taking some time to read the DMT Extraction Overview is a great idea. It will provide you with a basic understanding of how the extraction procedures work, it will help to decide which tek to use and will help you a lot in the long run.

Check this page on Ingestion Methods. DMT vaporization is the way to go if you are not into oral preparations (ayahuasca or pharmahuasca), and it definitely works. People have used several devices for that, but according to affordability and simplicity, the Vapor Genie (VG) or the Glass Vapor Genie (GVG) are arguably the favorites.
