In that video you can see a tutorial of a simple straight-to-base (STB) method. You can watch it, and it will indeed work done properly, but in the Nexus wiki link I left in my previous reply you will find, further detailed, several STB methods. I prefer Acid-Base (A/B) methods myself, but STB methods are not complicated and probably a good idea for a first try. If you don't feel like using chemicals like lye, you can take a look at Q21Q21's tek.
In any case, taking some time to read the
DMT Extraction Overview is a great idea. It will provide you with a basic understanding of how the extraction procedures work, it will help to decide which tek to use and will help you a lot in the long run.

Is there a particular vaporizer to get? I've read that the best one is called the volcano. I've also read that using dmt in a vape is bad because dmt melts when heated. but I doubt that to be entirely true.
Check this page on
Ingestion Methods. DMT vaporization is the way to go if you are not into oral preparations (ayahuasca or pharmahuasca), and it definitely works. People have used several devices for that, but according to affordability and simplicity, the Vapor Genie (VG) or the Glass Vapor Genie (GVG) are arguably the favorites.
