I own an
Essential Vaporizer and am looking into possible ways to make it work
effectively to vaporize DMT or Changa.
After searching through the threads mentioning this vaporizer I'm left with a few questions.
The Essential Vape is meant for concentrates such as hash oil and works through conduction. Heat is applied to a glass vial containing your substance until the vial is hot enough to vaporize the substance.
Through my searching I found that DMT does not smoke well through conduction, leaving a harsher taste and less potent hit. At this point the GVG is generally recommended, but this is an option I am not exploring.
This
thread in particular discusses pyrolyzing of spice via conduction. From what I gather, the effect of pyrolysis will depend on the plant used for extraction and also on other impurities that are present? Some effects of pyrolyzed DMT could be harmful so for the purpose of this thread I would like to avoid pyrolyzed DMT.
If anyone does have more info on pyrolysis and DMT I'm interested.
Is anybody aware of a modification that can be made to this vaporizer or a vial to allow for effective dosing of DMT or Changa?
-Could I simply add a copper scrubber to the inside of the vial and melt the DMT into it? Would the conduction then heat the scrubber to evenly vaporize the DMT?
-A poster mentioned applying heat to the vial
above the DMT allows the air to heat up and vaporize the DMT. Can anybody verify that this would eliminate the problems of conduction if the glass under the DMT is not being heated directly?
-There is a small hole opposite the vial that pulls air into the device when you inhale. Would applying heat through here help vaporize the DMT or only serve to burn me with hot air?
I also made some of astralspice's Peppermentalism Changa (Enhanced Leaf, no caapi, harmalas, etc) that I would like to attempt through this vaporizer if possible.
