I have some strange phenomena to report and wonder if anyone here has had similar experiences. Just to clarify, this has happened to me several times now and is an ongoing phenomena that I regularly experience. There have been a few times that it has been more profound than others but its the same deal every time.

The first one is the one that i experience most often.

I blast off. I enjoy the usually rush of extradimensional joy and amazement. As the visions begin to fade I open my eyes and all of my familiar surroundings are slightly different. Almost as if they are manufactured. Like the screamster caused a glitch in the matrix.

Let me be more specific. I have an MPC1000(sampler/drum machine) that i've owned for 7 years. I also have a Microkorg synthesizer(owned for 3 years). Sony Vaio Laptop(2 years). And my cellular phone. Its safe to say that i know the exact dimensions, weight, feel, layout, fonts of the lettering on the screens of all of these items. I could probably recreate them out of memory almost perfectly.

So for example, i will be sitting in my studio chair, blast off, come down, open my eyes, and all of my electronics/equipment are similar, but different enough that it all stands out like a sore thumb. The obvious response is "NO SH!T, SHERLOCK... YOU ARE HALLUCINATING".... however... these are not normal hallucinations as I can see these things clear as day. I can feel them in my hands. The images are crystal clear, and incorrect. Even down to the style of numbering on my touch screen phone, and the layout of the menus. Its like i'm waking up in another dimension. I don't know if this is going to make sense to anyone because its kind of hard to explain.

The weirdest/most profound occurence of this that i experienced was one of the first times it happened. I had just come off of a trip, the visions had faded to black with my eyes closed, I opened my eyes and i instantly noticed that it looked like i was in another room. I was in the same chair, sitting in my studio, but I was perceiving all of my well known equipment as if they were poorly manufactured replicas of the original items. So I started geeking out for a minute and was looking up toward the sky, audibly questioning the universe like "What the hell is going on here, what is this madness? Where am I?" and basically demanding an answer as to what is going on! I sat there and stared at the items without taking my eye off of them for 15 more minutes. i flipped through the menues and felt everything to make sure i wasn't just hallucinating their incorrect dimensions and details. I kept waiting for them to morph back into their normal state... Finally I gave up and left the room for a moment. When i went back in a few moments later... VOILA... everything was back to normal. So in my schizzed out state of madness i'm like "I"M GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS" and i got my camera out thinking "ok, i'll replicate the situation, take high res photo's of my equipment while it appears to be in this different state of being, and then i'll take photo's again after the come down and compare".

Before you even say it... I know this sounds absolutely crazy, but it was one of the most profoundly weird things that has ever happened to me. I thought i was losing my mind for a minute!

So anyways, i load up the pipe again, with intent to uncover some sort of ultimate truth about how i was living in the matrix or something... I literally took ONE hit out of the GVG and instantly purged everything in my stomach violently into my trash can. I literally shot out a spirit dart of ejectoplasm unlike any other substance that i've ever felt come out of my body. It was almost like a giant blob of ectoplasmic goo. It was totally clear, and had the consistency of a silicon breast implant or something. It was not phlegm by any means, it was something else. It was as if i had stumbled upon some weird glitch in the universe, and was about to expose it, and the dmt literally prevented me from making that attempt! Then it B!tchslapped me on some "I DON"T THINK SO BUDDY" type preventative measure. It kind of reminded me of in that movie poltergiest where they have that pink goo on them after crossing over from the other dimension, except i just spit up this clear blob of something similar.

I was so weirded out that I didn't journey again for weeks. However, I have had this happen to me in varying degree's over the last several months but have not tried to replicate my experiment again. Only one time with the ejectoplasm b!tchslap, but many times i have perceived this artificial reality of sorts


OK...whew... that was alot of typing.... So on to weirdo phenomena # 2. I'll be more brief with this one

Everyone knows that if you are navigating hyperspace in a closed eye setting, that eventually the vision starts to fade out and that is when i usually open my eyes and sit back up and start thinking about the experience i just had.

Well i've had this really bizarre thing happen on several occasions and want to share.

On multiple occasions i've blasted off, kept my eyes closed and went into hyperspace, then as the vision started to fade and become less interesting i have opened my eyes a few moments before the closed eye visuals where complete done. The point that i'm trying to make is that i didn't necessarily let the entire hallucination play out before opening my eyes. The visuals had faded to nearly nothing, or were not interesting enough for me to keep my eyes closed any longer. Well the first time this phenomena happened i had taken a trip earlier in the day just like mentioned above. It was an amazing trip that i literally laughed all the way through it. I was by myself and remember feeling like "god", or whatever you want to call it, had spoken directly to me. The vision was very dream like, and the visions were more of a human quality. I was floating beside this convertible that was driving through a town and from my perspective it was as if i were lying down on my back, floating along side this car, face up, and all i could see were some people sitting up on the back seat and cruising through a parade or something. it really made no sense to me but i got the overwhelming sensation of a powerful force that was basking me in rays of love and encouragement. I felt as if i were being communicated with directly by this being. Ilaughed my ass off all the way through it like "i can't beleive this is happening". The end of the vision was the car leaving and going down this dirt path beside a cornfield and it got to the point where i couldn't really see anything from my perspective so i opened my eyes. I remember i came out of it and called my friend immediately to express the joy that i had just experienced, i was super excited. However, i realized it was probably sounding really funny to my friend because it was so random and made no sense. Point is, it touched me deeply.

So anyways, heres the weird part. So a couple days later i try to blast off and can't break through. try again a couple days later and same. can't break through. I just keep getting this same weird visual that i can't make out. Each time i just open my eyes and decide to wait. Finally like a week later i try again and have the same result, but this time i just sit there with my eyes closed and try to make sense of what these very faint visuals that keep coming back consist of. I realize after like 10 seconds that it is the tail end of the trip i explained above and there is like 30 seconds left of it. I am not kidding folks, the DMT FORCED ME to watch the last 30 seconds of a 2 week old hallucination before it let me move on to the next trip.

So to test this theory I waited 30 minutes and blasted off again and... BOOM, I GET SLINGSHOTTED BACK INTO THE UNIVERSE like nothing had ever happened. This has happened to me 3 or 4 times now. Sometimes i really feel like the dmt has a consciousness of its own!

HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS??? HOW BIZARRE IS THAT???

I have one more absolutely INSANE one that i will save for later. I want to start a seperate thread for it because it has to do with physical manifestations of dmt trips and communication with the stars. By far the most incredible thing that i've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. .

I experience the first thing you mentioned. At first i didn't really notice it but once i did it started happening every time i smoked a high enough dose (40+ mg). IME the higher the dose the more your perception is changed. I smoked 80mg once expecting to breakthrough however when i didn't i opened my eyes, looked around the room & the first thing that went through my mind was "you've done it this time".

I literally thought i was stuck in another dimension. I stared at the door and light switch in front of me because they looked completely different, everything looked like carved plastic and it was futuristic/extremely alien. My hands looked nothing like my human hands, my skin was also a bright yellow color, my nose felt 2x smaller, and there is also this hyperspeed effect. My movements seemed at least 2x faster then normal even my cell phone opened apps faster then normal.

What really geeks me out is the electronics, because i stare at those things all the time and then this happens and everything is slightly different. But its crystal clear as day, so it doesn't seem like a hallucination. No tracers, or morphing, or overlap between what is there and what i'm seeing. I first noticed it with my tv remote and pretty much brushed it off as nothing. Then i noticed it really strong with my music equipment one day. The menus on my MPC were aesthetically different, the buttons/knobs were changed, the fonts that were used on the screens/menus were different, the logos and lettering on the machines themselves where in a different font. Its pretty freaky

I felt exactly the same when i took a big dose without measuring it. New dimension, maybe 5th or 6th and i had my eyes open the whole time, had the thought that i was stuck in that reality for a second. Spent the trip completely mind blown and taken back about what i was seeing. Been hesitant to pack another break-through dose without having a scale first

I've also experienced the first one. When I come back from a strong breakthrough my surroundings are beautifully decorated in ways much different than standard visuals.

Most times I notice plants look extremely different, I'd almost say a sacred arrangement of sorts.
Very beautiful each ttime for me.

Our place is filled with art... And during DMT comedown, the art is totally transformed, way deeper and more organized. You can recognize it, but it's different in so many ways. I've enen seen it animate.

I had effects similar to what you experienced after a terrifying experience from a large oral dose, only they persisted for weeks. It was a very scary and difficult experience as I felt like everything that I knew and depended on, even my best friends, were somehow changed or completely fake. Everything seemed to be an illusion. Since then I have decided against using spice or any other entheogen because I don't want it to interfere with my life in such a big way again.

IME denied breakthroughs are almost always a result of an abused launch or un-integrated trip. You really need to respect the energy you're receiving and understand smoking it is only half of the acceptance.

Icon, I agree with you. I have tried to get greedy a couple times and i've been denied.

For example, trying to blast off too soon after your previous trip often results in the IRON CURTAIN OF DMT DOOM coming down on you. For me it is literally a wall... I'll close my eyes and there is just an impenetrable wall there.

This is easy to do when you have endless supply. I've definitely learned to respect the DMT as an entity itself. I swear it has a consciousness of its own!

That was a great read. I am yet to experience that with DMT, however, when I did shrooms for the first time, I had something similar.

I was really excited to do shrooms for the first time and I didn't want the be underwhelmed, so I just poured 3.5g of powdered cubensis mushrooms into my orange juice, and chugged it. I got the tracers after 10 minutes, and started seeing my surrounding as cartoons in 20 minutes. After that, I sat down on the floor and found myself swimming around solar system. I tried to remember who I was, which planet I was from and finally, which country I was from. I literally flew over continents to find something that was even slightly familiar.

After four hours, I came back to 'reality'. It was slightly different, though. I felt taller, rooms felt larger, corners felt sharper. Lights, and hence ambiance were more synthetic, 'whiter'.

This went on for a while, and my thoughts about this situation were surprisingly accepting. I thought 'well, I guess this is how it's gonna be from now on'.

Yes! I have experienced much of these phenomena! One time I took a rip of Changa, and sat there for pretty much the whole journey watching my bong dart around the room, change sizes and do other odd and inexplicable things. Also coming down off particularly deep journeys I have had the feeling that I am in between dimensions and my room looks just plain weird.

As for the ectoplasm, well, here is my experience with that...

And yes, I do think that DMT has a consciousness, or allows us access to planes of pure consciousness. I like to call it 'the source', seems appropriate...

I read your ejectoplasm experience, Purges! I've done some reading on the subject and we are not alone! There are many accounts of the ectoplasm but i still can't quite get a grip on it. The texture and nature of the goo almost makes me feel like I have physically crossed over into another plane of existence/dimension and that the goo is some sort of biproduct of transmigration! Thanks for sharing!

I, too, have had my share of experiences involving 'ectoplasm'-type purges.

When they happen from vaporizing/smoking, I'm reminded strongly of the effect from my pharmahuasca trips. Every successful pharma trip I've hit waves in and out of hyperspace, I without fail will find the urge to walk around after the waves have stopped and the ectoplasm starts flowing out of my nasal passages once I've settled into a sitting position after getting up. I'll fill what seems like endless tissues - but the actual verified after comedown count is upwards of half a dozen - all filled. Never would come close to that amount even after waking up after a full night's sleep with a cold and clearing out the night's congestion. And I wasn't congested in the slightest before any of the trips.

I think that the Caapi-extracted harmalas I've used play a large role. I've yet to try Rue, and would be curious if this sort of thing might happen more/less often with it. It's only when I've pre-dosed a vaporized/smoked hit with sublingual caapi or passiflora alkaloids that I've noticed any type of purging with the experience. I admittedly prefer always adding MAOI, so I don't have too much experience without it to say that the effects are impossible to achieve without admixing the DMT trip.

I felt like I have experienced what happened to you in the first experience but on much lower level and different circumstances. I was mid trip with my eyes closed and for whatever reason I felt the need to get up and go upstairs to get a glass a water (walking up stairs has never been so hard HAHA) and when I opened my eyes and reached for my glasses they felt very alien and different than my normal glasses. More crisp and defined, futuristic almost.

I'm starting to wonder if ANYONE has experienced the second phenomena?

It was a very bizarre experience for me each time that it happened. Any ideas about what would cause this effect?

I have had something similar happen to me this past weekend, but to a much more extreme level than what you seem to describe OP (referring to your first phenomenon). I actually came here with the intention of posting about my experience when I saw your thread.

When I have smoked DMT in the past and kept my eyes open, my vision was extremely blurry, the colors were enhanced and I saw a lot of breathing and waving. I just usually closed my eyes and enjoyed the CEV's as there was not much interesting happening with OEV. This is not what happened this weekend.

I was getting ready to go to sleep when I decided to smoke some DMT before sleeping. I loaded up a small amount of changa which I then planned to follow up with a larger amount for a breakthrough. But once I finished the first bowl, something extremely odd happened. I kept my eyes open, did not get the usual blurry vision and OEVs I usually get. I saw that items in my living room began to morph every other 2 seconds. There is a very large house plant in my living room, it is about as tall as me, close to 6 feet, and has branches about 2 to 3 feet long. The plant turned into some species that seemed to be from a different planet completely. The branches themselves were moving quite drastically. I do not mean waving or breathing, I mean actually moving as if the branches and leaves were limbs or arms. My television set, couch and other random objects were all morphing in a similar manner, increasing or decreasing in size VERY drastically and fast. I looked at my hand and it did not look like a human hand. It looked as if I was looking at an alien species' hand. The fingers were fleshy as if they had no bones and conical shaped, coming to a rounded point. This freaked me out initially because I had no idea what was happening. I closed my eyes and could see usual CEV, geometric patterns and other sub-breakthrough dose visuals. I told myself I am human several times to calm myself down and try to comprehend what was happening. But then instead of telling myself I was human, I began to ask, "What am I really?" I opened my eyes again and all this morphing was still going on. To me it felt as though I was looking at several other dimensions or parallel universes where these objects all differ, which is why I was seeing them morph constantly and even my own hand did not look like mine. OR that the DMT world had projected itself on to the outside world instead of remaining behind my eyelids exclusively.

This ended after about three to four minutes. I woke my sister up (this was around 3 a.m.) I explained the incident to her. I decided to test this again. I smoked another similar amount of changa, and once again the room, my hand, and objects began to morph. I looked at my sister and I was in utter shock... She looked like an alien being. Not human at all, but another humanoid species with similar human features but as if she was from another planet completely. I looked at my bong I had used to smoke the changa. It looked nothing like my actual bong except for the colors. My laptop, light fixtures, television, cellphone all looked like a replica of my objects from earth but were all slightly different. At no time did I feel any presence, at no time did I fear what I was seeing, but I also did not know why I was seeing what I saw. This was a very alien, non-earth-like experience for me (as dmt usually is, but this time even more so.)

I am very confused by this as I have never experienced it before. I plan to try to replicate the effects again soon and see if this is a constant occurrence now. Does anyone have any insight as to what happened? Anyone else experience this to such an extreme degree?

I have had the same experience like your second phenomenon.

I was swirling into hyperspace as usual and the patterns got more and more complex as I passed through each layer. Ultimately the patterns and movement got so complex that I realized I was in some type of room and these entities guides me and showing me room by room. Unfortunately I got disturbed by some people outside in the stairs (I live in a apartment) and their voices and banging made me open my eyes and I came out of the trip. I did not attempt to go to hyperspace again that day but I did a week after and, to my surprise, I began the trip where I got off the last time! After coming down I blasted off once again and had a new trip.
