I went through an ab tek and I seemed to be doing everything right.
I was a little hurried for some parts. I expected I would get a low yield. I got a pretty low yeild, which is fine but it didn't seem right after I gave it a final acetone wash and evap. It was a reddish sticky resin on the bottom of a glass bowl. When I scraped it up and pushed it into a ball it became black.. Like if you kind of smooth it down into a thin layer it has a red tinge but it doesn't seem right. It is also much more dense than I expected... Will this be fine?

Happened to someone i knew a few times at first. What you got was a low yield charged full of oils, which is strange for an acid-base tek. A freeze precip. might have helped crash out some cleaner product. However that oily gunk is still probaly active, just wipe it up with some smoking herb and try it via that route. Then try again with another batch ,perhaps follow to the letter the guide in the "DMT handbook".

Vovin's tek is scaled for smaller extractions and pre-powdered MHRB.
And he does a "washing" step.


Maybe try a freeze percip?
