Here is the link to a terrific article about James Fadiman. When I see something like this I feel optimistic about the possibility of more mainstream acceptance of the potential of the molecules we love and respect. Once it is established that there are accepted medical uses in the U.S. they can be removed from the Schedule 1 list. That would be a step in the right direction of moving to more widespread acceptance as sacramental material for our spiitual practices.

This is a fantastic article, thanks so much for sharing it. As for convincing the general public, there is no hope in dialogue that I can see. Instead we should lead by example and thus, if they will or cannot learn directly, the lessons learned will still filter down freed of stigma

I think there is hope, nwosidsalp. I keep seeing press, both online and hard copy, covering research on treatment of ptsd, ocd, terminal life anxiety, depression, etc. with the same molecules we use as sacraments. As more mainstream folks are exposed to this information the chances improve that there will be acceptance in the medical dimension. Also, the fact that notable individuals like Ethyl Kennedy, Bill Wilson, Steve Jobs, Cary Grant, Francis Crick, to name a few, have advocated for the benefits of these molecules does not go unnoticed by the thoughtful masses. Medical cannabis has become widely accepted, why not medical uses for LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, etc. and acceptance of the sacramental, even eucharistic nature of The Molecule (nnDMT) and similar Allies. There are certainly precedents, even legal ones what with Peyote and the Native American Church, Ayahuasca and UDV, how about DPT and the Temple of the True Inner Light (see the dpt thread in this forum).
