I'm glad you found the Nexus. I've actually found that my use of psychedelic drugs has slowed over time to the point that it has pretty much come to a stop. I'm starting to wonder if I'm moving into a stage of my life where I don't use drugs anymore. So I feel that I can relate to your situation of wanting to reimmerse yourself in the spiritual world because I ask myself every day or so whether or not I'm ready to do that again, and it may very well be a long time before I'm ready to come back to that life.
Regarding extraction techniques, I'm sure you'll find all the answers you need here. A chemistry degree is not required to extract DMT. There's pretty much one main concept behind the simpler extraction techniques: Polar solvents (such as water) dissolve polar substances and nonpolar solvents (such as naptha) dissolve nonpoloar substances (such as DMT). With that in mind you can pretty much make up your own extraction technique, but one simple method is to dissolve plant matter (containing DMT) in lye-water. You then add naptha to this liquid plant-matter solution and mix gently. After the plant-matter solution and naptha have separated, you remove the naptha and refrigerate and DMT crystals solidify as the naptha cools. Then you just strain, sift, or scoop them out and enjoy. Apparently this is called the Straight To Base (STB) technique, which I didn't actually know until just now, and there are many manuals on how to perform these (I used
Noman's Tek). The reason I don't know that much about extraction techniques is that I've only extracted DMT once, but the yield from that extraction has lasted me a year or so.
Anyways, go do the research. There's a wealth of information out there. Welcome to the Nexus. I love you and look forward to hearing about your first steps in hyperspace.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.
