one time i took 6 hits of acid and all the fucking sudden everything got super erie/forboding and orange. lights turned into flaming skulls to mock my sanity. then as i got nervous that it was much stronger than anticipated everyting became 2 dimensional and fully orange. my brainstem felt as thought it was melting, like a piston was broken and everystep i took was the rod further damaging the engine of my being. my neck was on fire from the inside out. i decided to tell someone i knew had psychedelic experience i was having a hard time and he took me outside where we decided to go to a church courtyard at like 2 am to appreciate the nice green grass and the well lit area, it was comforting, i spent all night and the early morning trying to reclaim my lost marbles. although he recommended i get a book on tape to keep linear thought progressing, after he dropped me off at home i just laid in bed thinking i was dying. accepted dying and thought i went to hell, which seemed to have many neon signs, what i imagined vegas looked like. i have no idea what it was i ate, but that pretty much ended my using acid save one or two other times when everyone was dosed and having a great time. at that point i had been dropping acid every weekend for 2 months.

This will be the final update about his condition, and may this serve as a cautionary tale. The LSD was indeed pure LSD, but the person who ingested it was a first time user, and he was given a prescription for anti-psychotic medication to help him go to sleep, he would have a tough time doing so without it.

So the combination of LSD and anti-psychotic medication caused this person to enter a vegetative state?

I've never heard of such a severe reaction. I have heard of people using seroquel to "cancel" a trip. In fact, I've ever heard of hospitals administering this medication to patients suffering from LSD overdose.

Very unusual, especially for LSD.

I have heard of drug interactions with LSD where people had severe prolonged seizures, this did involve prescription antidepressants/antipsychotics though. It happened to a friend once, but when after he was released from the hospital he was fine, though he never took psychedelics again.

How was the identity of the drug confirmed?

What does he suffer from that he has to take anti-psychotic medicine for? That could have something to do with it..?

He has some sort of disorder that is being treated with anti-psychotic drugs. He did not take them during the trip, but he did not use them the day of his trip. From what I've heard he may be borderline schizophrenic, or mildly schizophrenic or something of that sort.

Cautionary tale, sure, "don't take extremely mind bending psychedelics if you're currently taking anti-psychotic medication and or have a borderline schizophrenic diagnosis."

Hope his condition improves, this could have been easily avoided if he and the person who supplied the LSD to him had been educated in the area of safe psychedelic use.
β€œThe most compelling insight of that day was that this awesome recall had been brought about by a fraction of a gram of a white solid, but that in no way whatsoever could it be argued that these memories had been contained within the white solid. Everything I had recognized came from the depths of my memory and my psyche. I understood that our entire universe is contained in the mind and the spirit. We may choose not to find access to it, we may even deny its existence, but it is indeed there inside us, and there are chemicals that can catalyze its availability.”
