Occasionally I take a fortified extract of Eurycoma longifolia ( Tongkat ali) and the few times I've smoked spice with that herb in my system I've noticed an effect vaugely similar to the Syrian rue-DMT combo. ie. Extension of trip, clarity of CEV's, slowing down of visuals.

Was just wondering if this plant could also contain the same type of alkaloids as the Syrian Rue? It's fairly consistant in effect and to be honest more pleasant ( for me) than Syrian rue extract.

For those that don't already know, it's touted as a testosterone booster and sexual stimulant.

I found a source that states beta-carboline alkaloids were isolated from the roots of Eurycoma longifolia.

It contains betacarbolines and canthin-6-one alkaloids.

I have a thread about another plant in the same family that contains many of the same alkaloids!

I suspect that the canthin alkaloids may have the same potential use as Caapi, their reported effects are very similar. I have been looking for this type of thing, a report of a combination of canthin alkaloid containing material with DMT.

You may have just made a very significant contribution to the future of ayahuasca analogs, we need further research and confirmation, but I have a feeling that this is the going to be one of the biggest and most important discoveries in this field since the discovery of ayahuasca itself.

You just made my millennium.
