Check the two links below, it is always best to check the wiki for information before posting DosingAll about Aya'Little spider weaves a wispy web, stumblin' through the woods it catches to my head. She crawls behind my ear and whispers secrets. Dragonfly whiz by and sings now teach it.'

Check out the Ayahuasca section, and stop swimming so furiously. ( I doubt it helps you much anyway)

OK, here's my opinion. Ayahuasca, especially if you are brewing it yourself for the first time can be a little bit... I don't know.... elusive. It's going to be difficult to find that sweet spot without several tries. But you could get lucky the very first time, but even then it likely won't be what you were expecting. I think it's something you develop a relationship with over time so if you do brew some up make sure it's enough for more than one journey. Too bad you can't come up with some mush. They are always so reliable and lovely. They are quite easy to grow you know. Good luck on whatever you decide. Be safe and responsible. As Within, So Without.

It took a couple tries for me and my friend to get it right, if you don't get it right your left with an awful tasting drink that gives you some minor effects. at least in my experience

You do not have to see alike, feel alike or even think alike in order spiritually to be alike

Spiritswalkwithme, Do you know what to expect? Have you read up on ayahuasca and its effects? Its great your looking to have a psychedelic experience but your going straight to the big guns as a first time user of these types of substances. I just want to make sure you know what your getting into. There is no right or wrong way to come to these teachers but it is wise to do your homework if you are going solo or work with a more experienced person if that's possible. Many people each year go to an ayahuasca ceremony as their first psychedelic experience but keep in mind they have a room full of support and very knowledgeable guides there for them. Will you be drinking alone? All the answers to your question about dosages are very easily found in the aya sub-forum. Its a treasure of great information. I can give you an answer but I would be robbing you from the opportunity to educate yourself while better preparing yourself for your first time with a psychedelic substance. read up, get the basics down then ask questions. Also you mentioned you wanted to do an extraction but cant afford it. Understand that the products to make ayahuasca will cost more than a small bag of root bark and a can of nahptha. Good travels I am not gonna lie, shits gonna get weird!Troubles Breaking Through? Click here. The Art of Changa. making the perfect blend.

Good luck, educate yourself. My first DMT encounter was with ayahuasca a few months ago and I am very glad I did it. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. But one of the most important things to take into an ayahuasca ceremony from what I learned is respect. Respect for the plants, respect for the experience, and respect for yourself. The whole process requires a lot of spiritual energy so I would recommend taking it very seriously. It will show you everything you've ever wanted to see and more, and a lot of things you might not want to see, so taking personal and spiritual preparation is a necessity. Give to the experience what you expect to get back.

Sorry if I came off a bit harsh, I hurried the post a little more than I should have. I know where you are coming from wanting specific advice, especially since you have had no experience with psychedelics but as Oly Mon said, it is much more rewarding for you to find the information you need by searching it out yourself. You may also find other helpful bits of knowledge along the way. I had been researching DMT and ayahuasca for a few years now even before I came to the Nexus and I am still learning new things everyday. I have yet to try ayahuasca myself and I can tell you that it has been an experience in itself just doing research and reading reports. I hope you can find the information you need and don't rush into the experience too fast as it seems to be quite profound and we wouldn't want you getting put off by these wonderful medicines too quickly if it ends up being too much There is much to experience and learn, I wish you the best in your search and hope you get a chance to experience more of these medicines first hand. The Dao is jealous. "Think more than you speak" "How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations" "You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available." "To see God, you have to have met the Devil." "When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru." " One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."
