So this weekend was my first attempt at extracting DMT, and it went better than I could have ever possible imagined. I used 112g of MHRB, and wound up with a 1.6 of fluffy white crystalline DMT and .3 of slightly yellow DMT. My extraction procedure was as follows;

1. Mixed 1.5L of distilled water with 7.5 tablespoons of Sodium hydroxide.
2. Added the 112g of powdered MHRB to the mixture, shook and let it sit for one hour.
3. Boiled a pot of water, removed from flame, and put a mason jar filled with the petroleum ether (naphtha) in it for about 10 minutes.
4. Added about 50ml of petroleum ether to the mixture, rolled for 5 minutes, and let separate. I then rolled again for another 5 minutes and let separate, and then twice more.
5. Used a pipette and meticulously removed the top layer of naphtha and sealed in a mason jar, which was put in my freezer.*
* It is worth noting that the freezer I was using is part of a mini fridge/freezer that hasn't been used in years, and the walls of the freezer are coated in about 3 inches of solid ice that I had to wedge the mason jars in between.
6. I repeated steps 3,4, and 5 two more times and left the three jars in the freezer overnight.
7. I added about 100ml of very warm naphtha to the MHRB solution, mixed vigorously, and let sit overnight while my other three jars freeze precipitated.
8. By the morning all three jars were snow globes, although most of DMT was frozen along the sides of the jar, and had to be scraped with a rubber spatula.
9. After filtering the DMT with a funnel and coffee filters, there was still a lot of elfspice on the sides of my mason jars. I reused the same naphtha that ran from the coffee filters, washed the insides of the jars with it, and let the jars sit to evaporate as low as I could.
10. During this time I also removed the 100ml of naphtha that had been sitting in the solution overnight, and placed in a glass pan to evaporate.
11. I let all four jars evaporate down to <30ml at this point, while enjoying over 1g of solid white fluffy crystalline DMT.
12. Much to my surprise, the total yield of the other four jars that I removed from the freezer was about a .8, and only one jar ever gave me anything that wasn't pure white (I think that it was the jar that I used really hot naphtha with but I lost track of which jar was which pull when they were in the freezer.

I went into this thinking that on a perfect extraction I would get 1% of the total weight of the solution (1.12g), but wound up with double that. I was extremely happy that I wound up with almost double that amount, with a quality I was told I could only achieve with recrystallization. (I didn't have the opportunity to recrystallize, my heptane arrived in the mail yesterday and most of the elfspice has already been given away) I smoked some, and had one of the most beautiful experiences that I have ever had with DMT, but I will post that in another thread. After my spiritual experiences (of which I had a few in a short period of time) I decided it would be selfish for me to horde this beautiful spice all to myself, and I gave most of it to my like minded friends as a blessing.

I wouldn't have been able to do this if it hadn't been for a lot of the research other people on this forum have already done, that I spent countless hours studying before making this endeavor. Thanks to everyone here at the nexus!! <3

ps. If you get yourself a glass roasting dish from your supermarket (couple of bucks) and freeze the Nap in that (food wrap pulled tight as a lid)...you will have a much better time scraping up your globes...

I can attest to what cyb just said as well. I got a set of wannabe pyrex dishes for $20 and they have made my life soooooo much easier than using jars. I just finished my first extract too man, congrats on your yield! I've done six pull and have only yielded 600mg. But, my 6th pull yielded 200mg of that. So I have another pull sitting for a week like I did with the 6th and I'm hoping for more to come. Still havent tested the spice, but hopefully tomorrow night for that. First I must create a machine! What have you used to smoke yours out of btw?

The cheapiest/easiest/most effective method that I have found is to contruct a basic freebase pipe with copper chore boy ($1.99) at grocery store, and a glass rose/crack pipe from a corner store or bodega. In case you dont know you pull of a piece of chore boy about half the size of a blueberry and burn it until it is black and you don't see copper color anymore. (If you see a little that is okay.) And wedge it into the end of the pipe, leaving about 1/4 of an inch space to put the DMT into. When you place your dose in the end, wave a lighter about 1/2 and inch away from the glass just until you see the dmt melt and fall into the chore boy. Then put the stem in your mouth and wave the lighter back and forth over the end of the pipe and sometimes underneath the glass, but try not to suck the flame inside of it. You will see it turn white with smoke, but remember to pull gently and don't rip it like a weed pipe. I feel that taking two hits is crucial. Hold the first one as long as possible, and then cash it on the second pull and begin holding, after your second hit you will know when to exhale.

I know you may know everything I said but I figure it is better to be thorough then leave you with questions and burn/waste away any deemsters. Good luck brother!

Very nice, i find that it works wonderfully in a bong with a torch if you keep it about 6 in. away vapes it perfectly.
