Does Miles Davis' trumpet playing in this song suggest a certain colour to you?

Every time I listen to it while tripping it seems such an incredible shade of a particular colour (which I will keep to myself for now). I am yet to actually 'see' that colour visually - it's more that the sound has the subjective characteristics of a colour.

So I'm curious - do you get a colour, if so what is it?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I tried really hard but couldn't come up with anything that stuck. My first impression was yellow but then I thought that I might just be subconsciously thinking of the color of his trumpet. I cycled through a bunch of colors after that (orange, purple, then blue), but for each I either thought of another rationalization for why that color would come to mind or realized that I was just picking random colors.

This is a great track though. I've never heard Miles Davis' music before. I can totally see it being an awesome journey while on acid.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

A color didn't come to me right away but I'm feeling electric blue more than anything else.

When I listen to songs I get imagery and movie type scenes going on in my head but not usually colors.

funny - interesting to know it's subjective.

I found it very odd, I think it might only have been the last experience that it was so obvious to me but echoes of previous times listening on different substances. I get visuals triggered by sound but I don't really consider those full-blown synthesthesia. This, it was a colour and an incredibly nuanced one at that (echoes of childhood and dreams and salvia) and yet there was no visual of the colour. How can we experience colour without vision? Very strange. I will withhold the colour a bit longer just in case anyone happens to have listened under the influence of a psychedelic.

It was red for me - a really specific subtle shade of red. I'm still amazed that I did not actually 'see' this colour. After a bit of reading, apparently this is called associative synaesthesia.

I'd say purple for some reason but I get a lot of different colours when I listen to Miles trumpet, the man was a genius. This is a great album. I'm quite partial to the first track "Pharaoh's Dance". I love the dual electric pianos on this album... beautiful, rippling cascades of sound that they create. I think I have always been in love with the sound of the Fender Rhodes since first hearing it on The Doors track "Riders on the Storm" as a young lad, that sound was and is so moody and just imprinted itself onto my fragile, eggshell mind.

Anyway, I digress, great track and thread topic OP. Sound and music definitely carries it's own colours that are quite distinct from the colours of the visual medium.

I found the introductory ambiance to be blue-green with some violet right before the trumpet enters. When the trumpet came in, it was a clear red to me. Something about the sharpness and alertness about it.
