Hello, my name is Ilan and I’m from Israel…

If you have told me a year ago that I would spend hours in a forum like this one I would tell you that you are crazy and I have much better things to do with my life and time, now I realize that this is one of the best things I can be doing right now…

So how did I get here?

It all started around March 2012, I traveled to Thailand and I got to meet a cool guy that started talking with me about Ayawaska, I knew a bit about it thanks to the “Joe Rogan Podcast”, but I never really imagined that I’ll ever try DMT (lt was just too far out there!).

This guy got me really turned on the idea of going through an Ayawaska ceremony by telling me that I’m ready for it… So I set it as a goal and I shared this goal with a friend I meet there that had experienced many drugs in the past (Including DMT)… and he told me that I’m crazy to just to the deep waters without learning how to swim in the shallows waters first.
He told me that I’ll better try Magic Mushrooms first and so we traveled together to Laos to try Magic Mushrooms… I really didn’t think it will be a big deal… I thought I’ll just feel high like from weed and I’ll see colors... And as you guessed I learned to respect the mushroom…

My First Mushroom Trip:

First hour I just couldn’t stay in my body, I dove in to god knows where and came back every 15min to drink, but those 15min felt like day and weeks there… after this part was over I was overwhelmed by the state of mind I was in… I felt like my Ego died, time was irrelevant, when I was thinking about distance I realized that it does not really exist and that everything is here all the time!

After about 3-4 hours I knew that the trip was over because when I was looking at my friend he had a third eye and his body was shifting colors from yellow to red…. This was feeling like the end compared to what I felt in the first 2 hours, it was very strong...
But most importantly, I was getting tones of information about my life and how things in this world work in the energetic levels and how everything is Yin & Yang and how there is a perfect balance in everything.

Then I realized that I’m just not ready for DMT yet and there is a lot to learn from the Mushroom first… I had another experience a month later that was good but not as powerful as the first one and when I came back home to Israel (not long ago) I started learning more about DMT, Mushroom and etc.

This kind of forum is just what I was looking for… I thank you for all the great content and I hope someday I’ll be able to contribute also…

I couldn't ask for more from a mushroom trip than what you described from your first trip. You're very lucky. Not everyone who has tripped sees psychedelic drugs as a spiritual tool. I would say that if you've learned that these chemicals deserve the utmost respect, then you've already gained the most valuable lesson that the members of this forum would seek to teach you. I think you're wise to stick with mushrooms until you've better-integrated their message into your life. Your attitude is definitely going in the right direction. I'm glad you found the psychedelics as well as the Nexus.
