Hello.
I live in Melbourne, Australia, and I'm planning on making some Ayahuasca. Ideally from Acacia Mearnsii bark. Unfortunately, there is fairly limited information about successful extractions of this particular species. I remember reading somewhere that it is seasonally active with roughly 1.2% alkaloid content. I can't find where I read that. But I'm certain that's what it said. The only problem is, it didn't specify what the active season was. I figured this would be the best place to ask.
Does anybody have any idea what time of year Acacia Mearnsii bark is active?
If nobody knows, specifically, about this species - do you think I can safely assume that all DMT flora is active during roughly the time of year?
When are the highest recorded alkaloid contents reported? / When is the Australian "DMT season"?

Yeah I've looked throug the Acacia thread backwards and forwards. I found the original post I was referring to that said Mearnsii is seasonally active. But it's not very clear what season. There are a couple of post from people saying they were planning on doing a Mearnsii extract, but they haven't been followed up...
If anybody has any information on the DMT content of this species and/or when it is seasonally active, I'd much appreciate it.

Hey, my friend from melbourne tried his first extraction on Acacia Mearnsii a few weeks ago and had no success. It may have somehow been the vinegar he used because the d-limonene had a brown colour to it when he poured it off (I was excited) which then disappeared when I mixed with vinegar. He has no idea what went wrong because he should of atleast got some alkaloids. He will be trying again next time he gets the chance. Let me know how you go  The Warrior’s Prayer

All of the Acacia Mearnsii around my area started flowering from around the 1st of November and onwards. "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it."
