My vaporising methods/technique have been very poor at the beginning and I lost a lot of DMT. I scraped quite a bit out of my pipe, some in clumps and powder. My question is: Will this DMT that has been melted and dripped into the pipe, then scraped out, still retain it's potency?

I would guess that it would still have a bit of potency. But will probably produce a very harsh and nasty smoke. You can try it if you want.

Be careful with DMT 'resin'.

The last time I used this, I had a very unpleasant experience. One that was very "grounded" and very "dead" feeling. Could have just been mindset and setting, but I have heard others say that DMT resin tends to cause unpleasant experiences more often than not.

If you do decide to scrape this out of your utensil, then I would do as Parshvik Chintan said and re-x.

I once smoked a bowl with someone in my car and the night before they were smoking DMT out of it. So here I was just thinking we were going for a nice turn and burn and all of a sudden I'm tripping balls while driving. So yes it can still be potent.

My first and grandest white light experience was from smoking a small amount of the stuff while peaking on ayahuasca

I know, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I didn't know about the DMT until after I had already hit it. Luckily it was a very small amount.

I lived in somewhere once (haha that souds funny already) however, I introduced them to dmt and put it in a pipe they used for cannabis. After leaving them with my offering and meeting them a week later they told me they got many more hits from the pipe from the resin and they were very happy with it. So, I guess the residue last some time. I would say at the time too, my DMT wasn't the purest.

However, about the harshness of the smoke.... I would say they weren't too bothered about that. ni fact they didn't even mention it

I hate to bring back a dead thread, but i have something to share.

DMT RESIN causes HORRIBLE reactions with me for some reason.

I have pretty much isolated these reactions to situations where i've had dmt resin build up in my pipe, especially the really dark black/brown stuff, and i've accidentally vaporized some of it. You can pretty much tell right when you exhale that you've ingested smoke from the "resin" per se.

For example, you've been smoking changa out of the same bowl for a couple weeks and there is some build up in there. You hit the pipe and the flame/cherry causes some of that "resin" to vaporize. Its a pretty bad taste first of all, but secondly it causes horrible physical reactions for me.

Everytime i accidentally ingest dmt "resin" smoke it causes my whole body to cramp up/lock up/tighten up. My neck is where i first notice it. As it gets incredibly stiff and feels weird. But then i get varying degree's of this horrible tightening throughout my entire body. There have been a couple times where it has literally scared the crap out of me!

One time it caused all of this tension/stiffness and it also caused me to start sweating out this fluid that was sticky like honey! sounds pretty wild but its true.

I don't know what sort of biproduct is created as that dmt melts down into your pipe and turns black but that is some BAD stuff. it makes me feel like my body is physically shutting down and is extremely uncomfortable.

This only happens with normal pipes/bongs for me. And i mean pipes where you are putting a flame to your herbal mixture or using the sandwich method. There is always that nasty resiny stuff that melts down into the pipe. If you don't keep it clean you take the chance of taking a huge hit of this stuff accidentally and if you're like me it will be a very unpleasant experience!

Another reason to use some sort of vaporization device, even with your infusions!

Has anyone else had these horrible physical reactions due to accidentally smoking dmt resin?

As I indicated in July, I not only like to smoke that dark brown stuff, but I welcome it. It is certainly a bit different than its purer counterpart, but it has facilitated some of my most amazing experiences to date. It can be very potent for some reason, so I can see how it can be easy to go straight off the deep end, especially if you're unprepared.

I've never gone "off the deep end" with it. Its not like i'm launched into super hallucination world. It is just a horrible physical experience and that is all. It literally makes my entire body stiff as a board and i get this horrible tightening off all my muscles. It starts in my chest to the point where it feels like its going to stop my heart or something, then it creeps through my entire body. Its not usually a visual experience for me, it is only these horrifying physical sensations. Almost like having an allergic reaction and you aren't sure if you are going to need to go to the hospital or not. My entire body locks up and becomes stiff as a board, to the point where i can't even turn my head because my neck is so stiff. It kinda hurts for like 5-10 minutes while i sit there and try not to freak out.

I still can't find anything online where other people have this same problem so maybe its just me. But it is a very real, very uncomfortable experience. Just a horrible body load that is super unpleasant!
