I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place or if this is a dead horse that I'm beating again.

I was just wondering everyone's favorite shows while tripping.

I enjoy adult swim, I swear that some of the stuff they do is for people tripping. Like the little bumps they do that groove and grow and shrink etc.

Trippy shows I've enjoyed include Lucy Daughter of the Devil, Sea-lab 2021. Just in the way they are animated it seems like it was intended for people on psychedics.

Movies that I've enjoyed are Fantasia, Waking Life and Avatar(until the guns and blowing shit up part),Tron legacy was cool too. (Movie theater 3D and Daft Punk Thumbs up ). Avatar we watched in HD on a big t.v and with a good tab of acid it was suddenly in 3D.

Anything visually appealing and documentary-like is good to me.

I particularly enjoy planet earth, apocalypto, star wars, avatar, the universe, and basically anything national geographic.

Thumbs up

Oh yeah! I forgot watching Planet Earth about the rainforest was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. Time-lapsed flowers blooming and shrinking.

Many many years ago my friends and I watched Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me while on shrooms. I remember the part where Laura Palmer's dad was inspecting her hands at the dinner table and saying "These hands are filthy!" had us laughing hysterically, I don't know why, because it's not ordinarily a funny scene. I guess only when you're on shrooms.

certain episodes of south park (pinewood derby comes to mind - also matt and trey animated some alan watts audio clips, which are pretty worth watching), the comebacks is pretty funny as well.
also shows like planet earth and blue planet and cool nature stuff like that (especially the deep sea or insect ones).

i haven't watched ancient aliens on anything other thc and maybe ethanol, but i would not be surprised if it went well with psilocybin.

also comedians like bill hicks, david cross, mitch hedberg etc.

EDIT:
if you like sealab check out frisky dingo and archer. i watch them sober myself, but they are made by the same guys (adam reed & matt thompson) and have similar humor (imo se.1 archer was their peak, but its all pretty good.) so you might like these as well.

there are even a couple funny episodes were lucy makes a brief appearance.

Tripping on what? Being the DMT nexus, DMT springs to my mind and any TV, movie etc would be impossible for me to watch, even if it was possible the external stimuli would greatly distract from an otherwise valuable journey. Many people take that kind of journey to escape from the trashy/violent over hyped imagery of contemporary mass media .

But sure, go ahead and watch "Lucy the daughter of the devil" with a few spliffs of MJ if that's your thing.

i find low doses of psilocybin in a social setting to be perfect for this sort of thing.
its not like you can ever really get that deep socially anyways.
and i think we all know psilocybin appreciates good humor.

to each their own, i suppose.

If psychedelics have taught me anything in regards to a personal ultimate truth, it has definitely been "lighten up" and definitely laugh more. I take psychedelics often, and if I'm working with a compound which is going to last 6-11 hours, with the time dilation and sense of eternity, an hour or two is usually allocated to some good ol' fashion music videos, good movies, stand up comedy, or cartoons. But hey, I'm not one of those guys that is obsessed with "metaphysical" realms, I choose to live in this one. Razz

Personal favorite experiences with movies/shows I can remember are:
Adaptation - Psilocybin Mushrooms
The Pianist - (the scene where the main character plays the piano for the German officer was ineffably beautiful and deep.) 2C-E
Robin Williams Stand up - LSD
Inglorious Bastards - LSD
China Town - DOB
The Big Lebowski - LSD
The Deer Hunter - LSD
Paper Moon - LSD
Cidade de Deus - LSD/DOB combination
Forrest Gump - LSD
“The most compelling insight of that day was that this awesome recall had been brought about by a fraction of a gram of a white solid, but that in no way whatsoever could it be argued that these memories had been contained within the white solid. Everything I had recognized came from the depths of my memory and my psyche. I understood that our entire universe is contained in the mind and the spirit. We may choose not to find access to it, we may even deny its existence, but it is indeed there inside us, and there are chemicals that can catalyze its availability.”

Maybe, but you make a post and can expect to get feedback that doesn't "fit in" with what you'd expect to receive or have others intimidated into conforming into a consensus view.. ( that won't work with me)So maybe you also need to lighten up a bit.

I haven't read much of what you've contributed, i'm sure some of it's good, this is what suprises me that there's such a willingless to conform to "The stoner" bullshit attitude that pervades many other forums. It's superficial, non informative.

So that's my opion of course, if you don't like it, toughNeutral

Fantasia was the only movie that seemed to appeal to me during my trips, and that was on a mushroom comedown. I personally don't enjoy watching movies or listening to music during my trips, as I feel they deliver just too much information for me to process and they seem to detract me from the integration work that needs to be done. I'm a one thing at a time kinda guy, but that's just me.

But moods change, I don't think there's something wrong with that. I can't deny I'm into the spiritual side more often than not, but every once in a while I also feel like doing something different, if only for the sake of not getting stuck into the same pattern (of thinking/doing). There's usually more than one way to peel a banana, and it doesn't hurt knowing them all.

How is he conforming to "the stoner bullshit attitude?" Because the guy likes movies when he trips, or because he told you to lighten up? I suggest re-reading your posts, the tone in both of them is quite angry and arrogant.

Dune, Fantastic Planet, Lord of the rings, Master of the Flying Guillotine, Life of Brian, Life Aquatic, The Razors Edge, The Americanization of Emily, Strange Wilderness, & Soylent Green.

Trailer Park Boys, Futurama, Old School Simpsons & king of the hill can be pretty hilarious when tripping too.

In a society in which nearly everybody is dominated by somebody else's mind or by a disembodied mind, it becomes increasingly difficult to learn the truth about the activities of governments and corporations, about the quality or value of products, or about the health of one's own place and economy.
In such a society, also, our private economies will depend less upon the private ownership of real, usable property, and more upon property that is institutional and abstract, beyond individual control, such as money, insurance policies, certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. And as our private economies become more abstract, the mutual, free helps and pleasures of family and community life will be supplanted by a kind of displaced citizenship and by commerce with impersonal and self-interested suppliers...
The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth - that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community - and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.” - Wendell Berry
