I just came back from a launch, ( really nice) however my tounge hurts like hell and the tip is very red with little raised welts dotted over the surface,Crying or very sad also a weird metalic taste is persisting.

I used my GVG as usual only this time ( for the first time) I made a disk from fine copper wire to better hold the spice from melting straight through. I'm wondering if the copper wire has anything to do with me getting an irritated tounge? Anyone else ever have something like that?

In any case I'm sticking with the stainless steel screens next time as this is most unpleasant.Embarrased

I wonder if its because you used a 'fine' copper wire which is likely to be less robust when assaulted with heat than copper ribbon.Copper Choreboy is composed of copper 'ribbon' which is not as fine as perhaps the wire you used, arcanum; the Choreboy stuff doesnt give the problems you mention.

What kind of lighter are you using?
I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

You MUST, must, must burn off the coating on the copper!!!! It will turn gray when its all of otherwise you got a big hit of metallic gasses. The copper chorboy is fine after that but i made the same mistake and my lungs were wheezing for days. Its not good for you.

Thanks c.c. & o.m.
Yeah that seems to be the problem, it was very fine copper wire I had lying around, and didn't burn off the coating.
Today i'm still hurting from it.( and nausea)

I used a torch lighter . Ah well some folks learn the hard way.

Cheers
