It may have been thought of before, but i feel as if we in the psychedelic community as a whole should put the majority of our efforts into the full-on introduction of dmt into mainstream culture.
I feel that if we are able to turn a good amount of the population on to Dmt, we could then start a movement to eventually call for the Full-on legalization, and if refused by the governing bodies of the world, then we should each turn ourselves in for the intentional manufacture of a schedule one substance in our brain.
I feel Dmt is truly a divine molecule, that which binds together all living things, at least all those from earth. It inspires in man boundless and unlimited creativity, and the ability to look beyond the limits of our our personal and limited perspectives. When used correctly as a means to increase the overall positivity of the world, it is unrivaled, surpassing even the great and immensely powerful teaching tool that is Lsd.
I want to found an order of people devoted to spreading love and positivity throughout the world. Peaceful warriors, gurus who guide people to the paths of peace and love through their wisdom and example. Samurais who triumph by not even allowing for the possibility of violence, who diffuse negative situations and re-purpose that energy into positivity.
Will you please help me change the world???

Let us work towards Shambhala, a nation of eastern legend said to be comprised of entirely enlightened individuals. Let us be Peaceful warriors, masters of energy, able to change negative energy into positive, to tap into and project the power of love into the universe, so that it may be reflected back upon itself infinitly. Let the Change begin!!

No.

I appreciate your enthusiasm but this is bound to end badly, it has before with other substances such as LSD, as the 60s have shown. Psychedelics by themselves do not necessarily change people for better (charles manson anyone?), it is the person who needs to want to change and use it as a tool. The hard part is after the trip is over, to integrate it.

Also we very clearly say this in the attitude section:

https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m....80.9Cspreading.E2.80.9D

Quote:
No commercial-scaled extractions and reckless “spreading”

The Nexus is not a place for commercial operations and we do not want to support drug dealers; this is for personal use. If and when sharing these substances, we believe that it has to be done without money or other payments involved, individually, and with a careful approach to its introduction to any person. Care that the person ingesting has no contraindicating medical/psychological history, takes it in a proper set and setting, and correct dosage/method of ingestion are essential, and this cannot be done if the substances are spread on a large scale. We do not want to "turn on the world", those who are ready will seek it. Indiscriminate spreading of psychedelics can lead to potential serious damage to people, is a big legal liability and bound to create a social backlash . Big extractions (and the preparations leading to it and gathering of materials) can attract the attention of the Law. Spreading of the message of psychedelics itself through superficial YouTube videos showing use or extractions can also cause a lot of damage to the community and is frowned upon.

Hyperspace already is infiltrating the mass cultural consciousness, it's becoming ever more readily apparent, especially in the realm of music and the arts. This movement of conscious awakening is in full force and accelerating exponentially. There is no need go screaming from the rooftops at this point, you'd be preaching to the choir. Better buckle your seatbelt, it's only gonna gonna get faster and stranger from here on out.

Row, row, row your boat, Gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily...

First off, I must first express my respect of your opinion endlessness. there is of course no doubt in my mind indiscriminate exposure would not be a positive thing. I feel as if i must clarify my intentions. The spreading the light would be an endeavor taken on by those well versed in the guidance of those seeking knowledge. It would not be undertaken in a casual manner, but rather as a sort of ritualistic initiation, although without the strict dogmas and structures common to such practices. Those initiated should be versed in the responsibility of their new found knowledge. how can you say this is not a substance that should be shared with all of mankind, as long as it is in a way that is carefully considered and thought out? And to be clear, i'm not stressing the all-out distrubition of the substance itself, but the powerful love and positivity that can be created with sharing it with someone in the right way

While perhaps a romantic notion, would an order of people devoted to defending peace and spreading love not be a benefit to man-kind? Picture if you would an equivalent of the Jedi from star wars acting in our own world for the advancement of love and positivity, and teaching the people ways to turn all the knowledge we have ammased into wisdom so as to use it in a sustainable way.

Ok taking your quotes:

"i feel as if we in the psychedelic community as a whole should put the majority of our efforts into the full-on introduction of dmt into mainstream culture. " <- how am I supposed to interpret this? I dont think the majority of our efforts should be with this. DMT is getting known because people are interested, its happening naturally as dreamer said.

I dont start shouting out to people I dont know about DMT, talking about it to random people on the street or tryign to get the news attention to it (which would be a full on introduction to mainstream culture). I talk to close friends who already express an interest in altered states of mind and I feel do not have any of the medical or psychological contraindications. I also do harm reduction work and education in a forum where people come to look for information about DMT, but I dont post "DMT NEXUS" all over facebook. That would also be a full on introduction to mainstream culture, and I dont think thats good. See the difference?

"if refused by the governing bodies of the world, then we should each turn ourselves in for the intentional manufacture of a schedule one substance in our brain." <- What does that even mean? Firstly, there is no evidence as of yet that dmt is created in the brain since INMT enzyme necessary has not been found there, though they were found in other places of the body. But even if it was found in the brain, we have no idea if we can somehow affect the natural endogenous production. So what are you proposing?

Psychedelics won't change the world, because most people don't want to change. I remember when I first fell in love with LSD, I praised it and thought the whole world should be taking it, but once you begin to talk to people, even the very open minded and intelligent ones, about the possibility of insight and LSD's action as a catalyst to enable change, I finally realized that most people don't think they need to change and they roll their eyes at the idea.

Not everyone should be taking psychedelic drugs, they just aren't for everybody, there's better ways to change the world than spreading the use of a drug.
“The most compelling insight of that day was that this awesome recall had been brought about by a fraction of a gram of a white solid, but that in no way whatsoever could it be argued that these memories had been contained within the white solid. Everything I had recognized came from the depths of my memory and my psyche. I understood that our entire universe is contained in the mind and the spirit. We may choose not to find access to it, we may even deny its existence, but it is indeed there inside us, and there are chemicals that can catalyze its availability.”

I agree with you as well dreamer. Infiltration is indeed ongoing and accelerating. For this reason i feel it is even more imperative to found an order of teachers and guides to help lead the people on a path conductive to positivity energy.
Furthermore, let me say that while certainly impressive, awe-inspiring, and life-changing, the most significant aspect of the experience is the positive energy created when it is gifted and shown to someone in the right kind of context. Let me clarify that there is no one defined way, no direct and prescribed methodology to this induction. i feel the only guiding principle is that is should be given with love and the intention to improve the life of the person you are sharing it with. And as a stated, my first post could have been better said to reveal my intentions. I am not screaming from the rooftops. I dont even have Facebook. My intention is not mass and immediate dissemination to the masses, with no guiding principals other than spreading the experience for the sake of itself. As i stated after my first post, the responsibility of the spreading of the light, and the teaching of others to become guides and teaches themselves. The individuals called to this path would hopefully be guided by the nature of their work into taking much care and putting much thought in their guidance of others

I believe forward progress has been made even in the past half year since I've first discovered DMT and all other psychedelics for that matter and continues to be made. I understand that things aren't accelerating at the speed you and I would like them to, but I'm not in a position to do anything about it. Either way, only time will tell. Like you, I believe DMT is too important and powerful to not enter into the mainstream consciousness (which it certainly is) but I certainly don't want it to be held in the same breath as LSD.

There are many things that I value that others do not, and while one path might be better than the other, I certainly don't appreciate being turned onto something that I've already made up my mind about, like those Jehovah's Witnesses who sometimes drop by. I'm the last person to try and force something on another human being, but I've never felt more passionately than I do about psychedelics, so this leads me to believe that there is vast untapped potential here.

Here's my alternative plan: let's spread the "DMT lessons" to people that we meet, and just maybe people will start asking, "What the heck is that person smoking?"

Responsibility in spreading the 'light' must also be joined with common sense surrounding the current legal climate. Reckless 'spreading to the masses' would be a perfect target for the anti-drug folks to scream further regulation. As mentioned above, think Leary with LSD in the 60's. His crusade and public mockery was one of the main reasons psychedelic research was on hold for so long.

Sorry, but I completely disagree with your idea here unless you wish further harm to the community.

I have a better idea.

Lets make information for people about DMT, how to extract it, tell them the effects and how to prepare for it...oh and how to smoke it. And also tell them about the trip reports we have. Maybe that will help spead the "word" about DMT! Then pump it to the masses through internet!!

OH WAIT.... That is DMT-Nexus!

Lets work hard on this site and let nature take its course. If spice is the answer and will save the world. Dont you think it will do its work naturally? Maybe the ones who are interested and do DMT are the ones who are "chosen" to do it. We don't need to help it, for it is already helping as we speak.

Where is your Courage? Why do some of you insist we continue to be repressed and live in fear of the consequences of spreading our wisdom? Will none help me to blaze this path? It is one not yet traveled, and so its undertaking will by default be difficult. As a student and devotee of Taoism, among other paths, i believe it important to let events flow as they will, that a true master and peaceful warrior guides events with subtly, causing as few disturbances as possible to the state of the world to achieve their ends. But while i ascribe to the wisdom of the Watercourse Way, i also realize water follows most harmonically naturally. Eventually the false dams and fortifications that our oppressive governments have built will be washed away by the tide of knowledge and wisdom rushing forth from the people. will you be part of the tide?

You are speaking in a too generic way and using nice sounding words that IMHO (no offense) sound empty.

Can you cite a specific example of what should be done, as opposed to what is being done ?

Also nobody insisted 'we continue to be repressed', you are reading into people's words way too much. Plus, repression from the government will be there whether you like it or not.

The only way DMT can be used to change the world is by people deciding to use it as a tool for change. Period.

They should be legalized, but they should also be fully studied and labeled with appropriate warnings. Not everyone sees the Godhead. Quite frankly most people never try DMT twice. It's just not for most people.

I support your enthusiasm wholeheartedly though! Just switch it over to self growth and by that alone you can watch DMT change the world.

Peace.
If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

A lot of people don't particularly enjoy DMT, what about those people? Drug use won't save the world, it just won't.

What is it about the DMT experience that leads you to believe it has the potential to save the world? What about natives who took psilocybin and took part in sacrifices, cannibalism, and barbaric games which utilized human heads? What about the Shuar/Jivaro killing their enemies and beheading them, and ending the night celebrating with a nice batch of ayahuasca?

That would be cool, if the whole world was literate and had access to the internet. Unfortunately, only a very comparatively wealthy and small percentage of the world's population even have access to this knowledge at all, and a much smaller percentage of those even know of its existence to seek it out. Most of the world is and will be left in the dark until people take it upon themselves to teach their fellows, rather than wait for their government to teach them.Do you think those ruling us right now will take it upon themselves to spread love and positivity? They are better served by fear and scarcity, creating negativity to enrich only their own lives. Shall we be like the Illuminati, and keep our wisdom secret, a benefit only to ourselves and those in the know?

Why is everyone opposed to a course entailing action, rather than just passively hoping for the change we all wish to come about? what happened to becoming the change we want to see? Only you can change your world. stop waiting on it to change itself.Do you not believe in the power of love to change the world for the better? Where is your Courage?

Ive been doing everything i have proposed for a few years now, and thought there were others doing the same, and figured it would be beneficial to our cause to network and reflect our ideas off each other. seems like its still going to be lonely work for a while
