I quick google, I found some other trees. But heard that it might be a mutation(cristate). Or did you already know that? If its not a mutation, is it possible to buy?

Looks like a fractal mutation thing that happens to many different plants! Looking at the link you provided and there are so many. I always wondered why some flowers looked like that, even fruit and veggies too. Strange! Wonder if it happens with humans and animals too! Actually I dont want to know! I am not sure of the spelling but it is an echium or "Pride of Madera". I have one that showed its mutated form, like my monstrose cactus. They are drought tolerant and deer resistant. I have seen quite a few of the normal form growing near the Calif. coast from Monterey to Albion.
