i try to make 1.5 kg powder san pedro extraction with ron69 tech with xylene but something gone wrong.

i used

1500 gr powdered san pedro
375 gr cal hydroxide
4.5 lt distilled water
2.5 lt xylene

i try to filter the xylene. but i can collect only 0.5 lt.

what can i do in this situtation ? it is very hard to filter the solvent.

i read that if i am going to make an a/b extraction. then i need 10+ xylene pulls to collect all the alkoloids. is it really true ?

the trick is to use the least amount of water possible to make a cacti paste and bassify it

you learned 2 things, why you should not do large scale extractions without experience and how to saturate your nps without getting emulsions (as i just mentioned)

you couldve tried making a tea and acetone bombing it to precipitate cellulose and other non actives to make the tea less viscous, but mew still suggests bass paste

if you want to try to save your situation there are a few things to try
1. heat the solution in a double boiler
2. vibratation to aggitate layers to separate
3. add NaCl to further polarize your aqueous phase
4. add more xylene to dilute the amount stuck in the aqueous phase and continually draw it off and salt it ( you will lose xylene but whatever, you will retrieve more alkaloids than just salting what you already have)
5. perhaps your aqueous phase is not basic enough, you might try adding more bass

gotta work with smaller batches man. Who knows if your snot will thin out, but I've seen this mistake made before with 500g and what helped was letting the snot sit still for 2 days and chilling it in the fridge. The emulsion finally separated into an aqueous layer covering the snotty sludge at the bottom.

Hi Tryp, this may be too late to be of any use, but when I do the 69Ron tec using limonene I put globs of the cactus/water/solvent mixture into a handkerchief and squeeze it to get the solvent out. Here is a link to pictures of what I'm talking about:
