It's the second time that Im performing this tek and in this exact moment Im doing the vinegar pulls.

The first pull came out quite dark, so Im a bit worried that some of the cactus/lye will end up in the final product. How could I avoid this? Should I evaporate the vinegar first or can I clean it as it is?

Here is the list of the chems I have:

-Limonene
-IPA
-Fumaric Acid
-Lye
-Lime
-Sodium Carbonate

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I'm guessing that you have already added the sunflower oil and are pulling with vinegar now? If it's not quite how you thought it would be, I would add more limonene and do 3 more vinegar pulls. Then you can either evap that down or clean it up with mek.

dark mesc acetate is a result of too much acid.
youll know if the aqueous phase is either acidic or basic by 1. ph test, 2. flame test (sodium burns yellow, and acetic acid breaks down yielding freebase and possibly oxidized mescaline), 3. smell, if it smells like vinegar it is. 4. add a little bit of vinegar to your dark pull and see if a chemical reaction takes place, if it simply gets more dilute, it was vinegar to begin with.

i find that mek cleaning does not work as well as acetone and hcl

if youre using a stove to evap your vinegar be careful not to break the acetic bond and make freebase mescaline, as it is a caustic oil.

i use a pie dish inside an evaporator, it dries about 100 ml an hour, best way ive found yet! cost=50 bucks for all of it!

ive definitely gotten 50 dollars of goods from it without the venison jerky ::Smile which was dank

How do I avoid that?

I put the bowl with vinegar inside a pan with near boiling water, is this alright?

I always had heard that mescaline is very heat resistant...

galulyah: Thank you Smile

So does anyone know if I can clean the acetates with the chemicals I have?

I could also buy naphtha at the corner shop...

sunflower oil has triglyceride structures, base hydrolyzes the trigycerol backbone and saponifies the fatty acids (turns it into soap). whoever came up with this tek didn't think it out very well. I recently had to clean up a product from this messy tek.

op, thats a safe way to evap, but not as effecient or subtle as a dehydrator

mek is supposedly good for cleaning acetates, i typically dont clean them. its vinegar, i drink it straight sometimes
