In Peru, a single ceremony costs from 50-100 soles,($20-$35), a week's retreat with basic sleep/food/ 3-4 ceremonies/, can be had for about $150 if you bargain hard, (but this is the very cheapest, then you've gotta find the place.)
All in all it's quite expensive when you include airfares, so unless you're doing it as part of general travels, Ayahuasca tourism isn't cheap, unless of course you're doing long stays when it does work out cheap, ie, many months.
Although there are places that work on donation, they usually have a $500 minimal fee, so they aren't free.
I would not expect to find anyone doing Aya ceremonies for free. Everyone pays, as do the locals, it's not free work.
I certainly would not feel good paying nothing after all the work these people do for you.
