Ya having bosses suck. Especially ones at corporations. Never seen so much corruption in my life. I need a way out.

Thanks mew I'll keep that in mind. I now have a ton of different techniques to try thanks to all of you guys. I really appreciate this community. This place is truly an experience all in of itself. Keeps me from being too bored at work too!

I once learnt to remember each one of my dreams vividly after I wake up, when I was on a lucid dreaming journey.

It's simple. Start a dream journal. Tell yourself every night that you are going to remember what you dreamt in detail. As soon as you wake up try to recall and right down what you remember.

Repeat.

It's all about the intent!

We always dream, but if we dont pay attention to it we just forget it.

You might not remember your dreams, because you are too stressed during waking life. When I used to work as laborer I was so stressed and tired that my dream recall was almost nonexistent. I would just wake up and think straightaway about the day ahead of me. I then started to relax more and to be mindfull, in no time I started to have vivid dreams again.

Observe your mind during day and night, meditate, have a healthy lifestyle and most importantly, stay in bed with your eyes closed for ten minutes after you wake up!

Good luck and keep us informed Smile

Ditto to the above. Many years ago I did some persistent experiments with Calea and concluded it was ineffective. But what did work was focusing attention on dreams. Having a dream journal and the intention to wake up and fill it out helps. In the end you just need to wake up enough (and potentially write down) enough 'hooks' to recall the whole dream. I did have a few lucid dreams at that time but really they were fairly uneventful in comparison to psychedelic experiences.

Well waddya know. Seems like since this post has been on my mind it actually triggered some dream recall this morning! Smile

So I woke up sometime around 9, i think. Never fully came to, ended up passin back out hard. Then I woke up again about 10:30 and my gf came in about 5 seconds later to wake me up. As I was laying there a small section of my dream came to me and I made sure I remembered as much I could. It was kind of the end of my dream, I dont remember anything before this part.

I'm in a garden area, was an urban setting. I could see brick buildings surrounding this small patch. there was a man, me and a girl my age. I could not see her very well but i felt as if I needed to protect her. This man was making me tend to the garden. He was giving orders to the girl as well. It was an herb garden (seriously lol) and I all of a sudden had a hoe in my hand. The hoe turned into a fire extinguisher sort of looking device.

I felt rage for this man, he was keeping me and the girl captive. I lept at him, knocking him onto the ground. I then started smashing the fire extinguisher (which was a white bottle with a black plastic conglomeration of switches and buttons and a red long skinny button on the end) into his head. As I was doing this I was noticing his head was DENTING in.

He was a cyborg! I kept hitting him cause I did not want him to be able to get up and control us anymore. The girl left as this was happening. Then the dream became very fuzzy and i dont recall the transition to this next section...

I'm getting into a car, that I believe i was picking, or acting like was mine or something. It was a black BMW, but it looked more like an older Jaguar. I'm driving it and there is an older girl in the car with me, whom I believe I am trying to impress. I make a wrong turn and come to a dead end. At the end of the road to the left side is a stripped down car (broken down) that looks similar to the one I am driving. The girl tells me to pull over here. At this time as I am trying to parallel park on the left, I notice the car i am driving is running weird. Check engine light comes on (IRL mine is on). After i pop the hood i notice there is a covering over the motor, like the ones you put on your car during storage, I start to observe how the motor can run with this cover on it. Everything seems to clear it, seems its made to stay on while driving, this is strange to me.

So the girl commands me to remove the hood, which I do with ease, by myself. Took like 2 seconds. Then she starts to pull on the head to remove it, then it seems like its not the head, but i notice water building up on top of the engine cover and this concerns me. Dont want it getting in the oil I think to myself. This girl then tells me to put the hood back on, as i am trying to perform this task I notice a man trying to help me, my dream starts to become fuzzy again and i cannot remember anything past this.

pretty interesting dream, wish i remember more of it. i am hoping that if I pay close attention to this thread it may help me in remembering my dreams. I also cannot wait for my calea extract to come this is awesome times!

I want to thank you guys, Im already having positive effects from this thread and its all because of you guys. Thank you for all your input!

Choline is usually recommended to be taken with Galantamine for dream-enhancing effects. Are you taking them together?

I quit smoking last year in June. Unfortunately after going to a concert and consuming many red bull vodkas and beers I thought it would be fun to also smoke some cigarettes. Ended up smoking a ton and that carried on the next day. So for over the last month and a half I have been smoking and wanting to quit really bad. I was doing so good wish I wouldn't have relapsed. It's all in the state of mind. Gotta get back there.

No I haven't tried Galantamine yet. They didn't have any at the supplement store I frequent. The calea is on the way can't wait to try it.

Love that quote btw

Have you tried simple cardio exercise before sleep? I know this sounds silly and simple but it could help offset the issues with your weird sleep hours.

No I haven't tried that before. It makes sense but would definitely be difficult in my position. Beings that I'm getting home around 3am and everyone's sleeping and something like that would wake people up. Also I'm very tired from working so by the time I get home all I wanna do is crash.

Well, compared to Calea, the Galantamine/choline combo will have more noticeable effects but combining all three might be interesting too.Thumbs up

Remember to control your attention so you don't drain your energy and in my experience, saving sexual energy increases dream intensity and recall. Temporary celibacy may be a good thing when working with Dreaming.

anrchy: I'm glad that you got at least that single dream... I know right now I am not dreaming nearly as much as I used to but I feel it is entirely due to excessive cannabis use. I couldn't say what is causing the loss of dream/recall... perhaps as you mused it could be a micronutrient deficiency (or I guess macro but I think you'd notice more than dream-loss).

The dream herbs will likely help, but keep in mind that they all have different spirits. The Zacatechichi gives me "fever-dreams" - extremely vivid, high-energy, and often with "sacred" undertones. I was once taken to the Fire Underworld where Titans dwell and conversed with a child-spirit who was a denizen of that place.
Silene capensis has generally given me long, complex, panoramic, picturesque and usually character-less dreams. I often am only a point-of-view, I don't identify with any sense of self. However the dreams are extremely beautiful and highly saturated with color.
Kirkii is what I've been using recently. I find as others mentioned that it kind of builds in the system until it starts to work. The dreams it produces are highly lucid (though not fully for me, that'll take work). They are almost every-day scenes with lots of conversations, but usually at some point it;s like a switch flicks and it's like a psychedelic aire enters the dream. There is usually some particular item that I focus all my energy on and it sends my mind reeling in DMT-like thought reels... like once it was an HP Lovecraft book which upon opening was covered in iridescent symbols.

Have you tried plain melatonin? It increases dreaming in some people. If you try it get a sublingual liquid, it has a higher bioavailability.

Good luck to you friend, hope you get them dreams back!

Just don't take the aniracetam with the Galantamine as I suspect the aniracetam, being the fat soluble analog of piracetam, will suppress dreaming. As a lucid dream supplement, piracetam is used to counteract desensitization and tolerance caused by other acetylcholine boosting supplements (like Galantamine).

Piracetam
Time to peak plasma levels: 1.5 hours
Elimination half-life: 5 hours

Galantamine
Time to peak plasma levels: 1 hour
Elimination half-life: 7 hours

For lots of info on chemically-assisted lucid dreaming, I recommend reading Advanced Lucid Dreaming: The Power of Supplements by Thomas Yuschak. Really good stuff!Smile

unfortunately I cannot drink coffee. I dont know exactly why I can drink energy drinks with the same or more amount caffeine (although even those are starting to effect me negatively), but when I drink coffee it makes me so wired so fast that if I were to drink a whole cup of coffee I would be so shaky and feel weak and super tired an hour or two later. I used to drink triple shot mocha's, now those would make me into a tweeker.

I quit smoking june 11th 2011. It was super easy for some reason. I started thinking alot about quitting and then just fell into this state of mind and was able to conquer ALL of the negative side effects EASILY. Irritability, strong cravings ect. None of those happened. When I would get a craving I would suppress the thoughts and move onto different thoughts. I was 1 week shy of having quit for a whole year and I ended up relapsing.

The one thing I didnt conquer was that smoking cigarettes in a social environment was FUN. I enjoyed doing it. So now I'm focusing everyday, every cigarette, that I want to quit again the same way. It will come soon. I'm ready again but I am enjoying smoking unfortunately.

Anyway, I was hoping that after skydiving I would have some dreams last night, but I only have a vague thought that I did. Hoping my Calea arrives monday. Looking forward to trying it.

How long should I wait before bed to take the Calea? Also how much am I suppose to use? I was thinking of making a tea and mixing it with that but dont know how much I should put in.

The Zacatechichi advice that is usually given on vendors and such for preparation and use is this: make a tea (or preferrably strong decoction, but it tastes REALLY bitter) and drink a cup while smoking a fat cigarette of the leaves. Dose for the tea/decoction is one solid handful. This decoction can be boiled down to a resin, which is a bit easier to dose. You will know you had enough when you feel a dreamy buzz and begin to feel your heartbeat in your head/ears. Go to sleep when you feel like this. It kindof feels like pot or perhaps a good dose of harmalas.

There's no risk of overdose or too much, AFAIK.

Sorry to hear about your tobacco troubles... I am getting to the point where I am feeling really bad from smoking, it IS hurting me. But like you I DO enjoy the effects of good tobacco (I also smoke those strong organic/additive-free cigarettes (although WTF the pre-rolled still have polyvinyl-acetate but hey that's a stupid federal regulation...). That's just something that goes with quitting or reducing ANY drug that you like, you're still going to like it when the day is done! It comes down to gumption, I guess, as much as AA/NA type groups like to put the addictive process entirely on genetics/the "disease" of addiction. Good luck on quitting, I hope you do!

Thanks for the reply buddy. I got the liquid extract so I am guessing it will have a dropper. I am gonna try adding it to some of my orange spice tea. I'll add a little honey, and then some drops until I feel its enough I guess. Since its extract I am guessing it will be strong and I wont need to use much. I'll just experiment.

I had another dream last night, can't remember a ton of it. It's strange cause I got horrible sleep last night.

I remember being under a metal awning sticking out from a metal building. It wasnt much higher than just above my head. There was a strange helicopter that was far more advanced than what we have today. It kept circling overhead almost as if it was waiting for us to come out. I say us because I wasnt alone. No idea who was with me though.

I dont remember what I was doing, I remember I kept peaking out from under the awning. I almost feel as if i were going to try and shoot the helicopter down. Then I remember another helicopter trying to fly low in front of me and then landing. It wasnt fully built, was missing a ton of parts including the cockpit. It looked kind of like a full size version of those mini RC copters you can buy with the metal frame showing. (I have had 2 myself)

It was dark out and I remember many spot lights shining all around. I don't remember much after that, just flashes of images I cant quite figure out.

Seems that this thread is helping me achieve my own dream recall. My focus on this thread is definitely contributing to helping me. I hope you guys don't stop posting here cause this is awesome. My gf's dad talked a ton about his logging experiences yesterday. Which is what led me to dream about helicopters as they used helicopters for logging and he talked all about it for ever.

You guys are free to share some more dreams if you like. i like reading about other peoples dreams, its like DMT each others experiences are quite different and yet share similarities.

A thing that has worked very well for me, is to just tell myself about the content of my dreams, the moment i wake-up. Having to use words while your dream is still echoing in your head somewhere, helpes your brain to build neural connections. The same as with writing a dream-diary.
