Right, I guess what I am asking is - would making enhanced leaf help in the smoking of DMT? It seems that it could insulate and provide a substrate for the DMT.

Yes....it makes it ALOT easier to get a full experience and especially a breakthrough. Just load proper amount, light the top of the pipe/bong, drag it slow, inhale, BOOM.

For me, I typically like to use just a standard pipe or bong...so this has done wonders for me in comparison to freebase.

Is making changa with plain old caapi leaves worth it, or should one go for 11x enhanced caapi changa right off the bat? My friend is about to make his first batch of changa, but he has very little experience with dmt, so I suggested starting with plain caapi leaf changa and then making a batch of 11x caapi changa after he "gets to know" the plants.

Thoughts?

If you have freebase harmalas, you could just add them in after your friend has his journey.
Let the plants guide you, for they teach lessons beyond what we humans can offer.
Distorted is our perception of reality, because reality is much more distorted than we could ever perceive it to be.

I do not have freebase harmalas and I don't feel like buying/extracting them for him, but thank you for the suggestion!

I think I'll just tell him to try out the standard caapi changa, then he can decide what he wants to do... unless others have a different suggestion.

I would do a boil on some caapi leaves and make an 11x right off the get go. And changa would be a wonderful way for your friend to "get to know" the experience. You can ease into it with changa versus vaping straight freebase.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think he's already onto making some 11x caapi for the next batch.

Here's a question: If he already has unenhanced caapi changa, could he just pack the head with half unenhanced caapi changa and half 11x caapi changa? Or, would you suggest enhancing the caapi that already contains the spice?

Instead of boilinf 10g caapi leaf and infusing it onto 1g caapi leaf, can i boil 10g caapi vine and infuse that onto 1 gram caapi leaf? If that would work, would i need to use more or less vine?

Thank you,
skeemer

Sorry if this has been addressed, just started getting interested in changa and still only on page 3 of this thread. but would alcohol or acetone work in making your own leaf extract of caapi?

Ethanol would work better than IPA. Methanol works the best.

Just made a couple great batches of changa with some nice orange spice

.4g b. caapi
.3g Calea
.3g Blue lotus flower
1g dmt

AMAZING^^^ I really can't get over how great this tastes!

The other is the same mix but with Passion Flower instead of Blue lotus.

Equally amazing!

i also did one up with mullein, caapi, calea, dmt. It is my least favorite as far as taste/harshness goes. But not bad either.

Thanks to those of you who inspired me to enter the world of changa!

can't wait to add some harmala alks!

Made up a batch of home grown (I admit I did collect the brug from a friends garden).

Collected up -

4 x caapi leaves
4 x dwarf caapi leaves
4 x Alicia anisopetala leaves
4 x salvia leaves
4 x iboga leaves
4 x Amazonian basil leaves
4 x mashi hiri leaves
4 x jasminum sp. leaves
10cm strip of cappi vine bark

Chop in coffe grinder and rub all ingredients wet through a kitchen sieve and dry until only slightly moist.

Total wieght - 3.9g

Mix in Iso with
+ 4.5g chacruna x

+ 1g caapi x

Mix in dry

+ 100mg brug leaf and flower

Total 9.5g changa

Smoke is a bit harsh but very grounded with lasting effects. Complex subtle visuals on moderate dose.
From where is the noise?

Has anyone added menthol crystals to their blend before?

(either dissolved in a solution or undissolved/cruhed)

I'm thinking of trying it out but wondering if it's a great idea or not. Would be a very minute ammount as i know how powerful menthol vapour is on it's own.

Why not just use peppermint leaves or even better, moroccan mint leaves? They'll give you that same cooling feeling as the menthol?

Just my two cents. Smile

Do a bunch of extra pulls! make sure you pull everything! shoot for that stick icky JIMJAM.. and then evap your solvent, leaving an oil coated dish. then add a powdered leaf of your choice until you get the desired consistency. This is a 1:2 ratio jimjam/lotus (pic is only 7g or so)

I made a light 3:1 changa mix quite a while back with some 10x caapi leaf and it was a nice sub breakthrough mix, i felt it could be a nice introduction for some as you can smoke away confidently without going too far... but then recently on my third bowl of the changa the first toke was full blown!

I'm thinking this must have been a hotspot of DMT or harmalas in the mix, it was also a little more dusty in consistency so a bit more concentrated compared with the fluffy caapi leaf in the mix. It was an incredible experience and i will definitely be using caapi in future changa mixes, the intensity, clarity and warmth of the experience was just perfect.

Has anyone got some tips for making a more reliable blend than this though? I'm thinking i should do an A/B extraction on some leaf or vine then add the harmalas to a neutral herb like mullein or peppermint in order to have more control over the blend, and just go with a 1:1 ratio as that has never let me down in the past.

Thanks for any advice Smile

Yeah, the few blends that i've made have been mainly 1:1. I've made a 2:1 before with a decent amount of harmalas, which was nice to add throughout a joint.

My favorite and most potent blend has been a 50/50 leaf mix of finely ground caapi leaf and mullein, mixed well together. Mullein leafs surface area is incredible in terms of absorbing and holding the freebase goodies. I then add that 50/50 leaf mix in a 1:1 ratio to DMT. Also, per each gram of DMT used I would use 280-300mg of caapi vine freebase harmalas. Just enough harmalas to warrant a very thorough effect, all the while not completely overpowering the DMT experience. It's just enough harmalas through the caapi leaf and the freebase harmalas to give a significant time window to get a breakthrough dose of DMT without having the harmalas slow the DMT experience to a snails pace.

This blend will always be what I use. It's insanely powerful and incomprehensibly beautiful.

cheers

Likely it was an issue with your DMT, or the amount of DMT.

You don't need harmalas to make Changa, only caapi leaf and/or vine.
