This song I recorded was directly inspired by chiming music I heard in hyperspace.

Also, I've written two songs about DMT, but I currently don't have a recording of either. Below however are the lyrics:

Biomagnetic Ultra-Cybernetics

Superceding the planes in which we dwell Em A
Accessed via harsh vaporized potions C G
Suspended in seas of charge Cm
Abounds a translucent barge Bm
Soaring in hyper-locomotion Gdim7 Ab GM7 B7sus4/E

Swimming gyroscopically amidst the aether CM7 Em
Squealing automated sequences of delight G F#7 C F
Flying synchronistically without even a feather CM7 Em
Seeing atoms mating illuminates the night G F/C C F

Ultra-cybernetics and all their mechanics D7
Cogs and gears revolving in space G7
Biomagnetic forces and plasma cymatics C7 D7
Within the reach of the human race A7 B7

Quantum fields of possibility Em A
Waver to reveal the schematics C G
Of universal code Cm
and geometric modes Bm
A favor from the aristocratic Gdim7 Ab GM7 B7sus4/E

They linger in a mansion Em A
Laying inert in the den C G
A vaulted ceiling hangs C (guitar harmonies - swelling into “hangs”)
Above this interstellar gang G
Creating a weightless play pen E (7) D B7 (X21202)

Swimming gyroscopically amidst the aether CM7 Em
Squealing automated sequences of delight G F#7 C F
Flying out of body with a silver tether CM7 Em
Seeing atoms mating illuminates the night F G E7/G# Am

Transcending dualities like heaven and hell Em A
Can be cleansing on the soul C G
Cause life as is loved and known Cm
Is oft lived in monotone Bm
Living beyond...I said living beyond is my goal Gdim7 Ab Gdim7 Db/Ab Ab7 Db

Smoke it in the Dark

Smoke it in the dark
Smoke it in the park
Smoke it in on Mars
It’s all from the bark

Smoke it upside down
Smoke it, see the clown?
Smoke it on the moon
The stars go ‘round n’ ‘round

Smoke it in threes
Smoke it, hear the beezzzz
Smoke it in your room
Be the wave, if you please

Smoke it watch it melt
Smoke the hand you’re dealt
Wander a Pharaoh’s tomb
All is seen, All is felt

"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Other than what has already been mentioned, 1200 micrograms is a band you should check out.bone of their albums was a homage the band members favorite drugs. I personally really like the songs Magic Mushrooms and Marijuana by them.

Another song I really like is called DMT by GenCAB. He's a dark electro artist but the lyrics fit the substance imo, specifically the chorus which goes "its hard to breathe where the oxygen leaks and you cant conceive of what the drug really does to your mind!"
All posts are from the fictional perspective of The Legendary Tek: the formless, hyperspace exploring apprentice to the mushroom god Teo. All posts are fictitious in nature and are meant for entertainment purposes only.

there are so many songs about the deems. the ones i know of have already been mentioned...i wish i could hear all the local artists from every area sing about the worlds strangest experience, there has to be tons of songs out there never to be recorded Sad

i just wrote some words down with the intention of making it into a song the other day, i think its ok, kinda silly...

This life is beautiful, as is existence.
Living behind these eyes, in a prison.
I seek to break the confines of the mind
And commune with another outside of time.

A passing glimpse of her, behind closed eyes
Beckoning, "come with me, for a suprise"
A devious look with a smile on her face
I am unfit to journey to this unseen place.

Time moves on, leaving everyone behind.
But she is there, watching over my life.
Trapped in this skull until I'm let free
Will my escape see her waiting for me?

Past, present, future, she sees them all
I can too, once I received her call
This mistress of my mind, is she even real?
What about everything she made me feel?

There is a love so deep, pervading all things.
We are all a part of it, if you're willing to see.
In this dimension, when your time runs out,
Get outside and see what life is about.

This life is beautiful, as is existence.
Living behind these eyes, in a prison.
I seek to break the confines of the mind
And commune with another outside of time.

writing is fun, everyone should do it!

I don't think that exists, music has been unoriginal for the most part in the past decade, no memorable classics IMO.

90s we had Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, 2pac, REM, Radiohead, U2 and the list goes on...In the 80s we had Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Phil Collins, Metallica, Guns and Roses, madonna and so on.... and everyone knows about the 70s and the 60s.

Every decade music seems to have changed dramatically except for the last decade, is it b/c of the internet? Are people less creative?

I disagree to a point, I think electronic dance music has made an explosive evolution. And rap as a whole has changed quite a bit. Although in the areas of rock, metal, alternative they haven't seen much change as you said. They have kind of taken on the idea of tryin to stick to their roots. Which is always been wanted but never really happened. Usually old music gets shoved aside and is replaced by new types.

Maybe it's a sign of our social evolution slowing down in certain areas. The Internet has finally made the connection for everyone to come together, and people that weren't able to put out records can do so from their own home for free. Which in thought, this alone should increase the likely hood of MANY different kinds of music styles.

Much like we have seen with dubstep. People arguing over the small subtleties between two songs. Saying that one isn't dubstep because the bpm are 146 instead of 140. Or that there aren't hihat clashes every 4th step or whatever.

Have we exhausted our current expansion ability of music?

Althought the one time I heard alien music while on DMT it sounded like our current abilities are far behind. We don't posses the technology to recreate what I heard. Can't even explain it.

Yes and no... electronic was certainly something new but nothing from the last 10 years seems very groundbreaking to me.

Rock stagnated from about 1970 onwards. Put on some Beatles / Stones / Zeppelin from 1970 and then pretty much anything from the 80s/90s/00s/10s and ask yourself what progress has there been? Nothing.

Metal has continued evolving... there is a hell of a lot of generic crap out there (as with electronica) but the gems aren't hard to find now with the benefit of hindsight and the Internet. Listen for example to Hendrix, then Black Sabbath, then Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, Metallica, Slayer, Morbid Angel, Opeth, Meshuggah -- there is a clear progression there, including in the last few years.

Jazz, I thought was dead well before I was born (despite Bitches Brew being one of my all-time favourites). But then within the past year I discovered Sol Niger Within -- how's that for cutting edge in metal and in jazz? Admittedly it is now 15 years old. That doesn't seem as much of an eternity to me now as it once did Smile.

I agree with your post, but look at it in the perspective of how long it took music to progress far beyond its beginning. From simple drums beats and singing of the natives over hundreds or even thousands of years to stringed instruments, guitars and pianos. Those styles of music spanned a much longer time frame. All we did really was start to introduce electronic technology to morph the sounds to make them more intricate sounding and complex.

Now we have pure electronic music which requires no instruments at all and it didn't take long for it to progress to that. Less than 60 years maybe? Seems like fast progression to me. Where else can we go from here but more a technological way of creating it.
