Why fractals?

What do you think?
Why do psychedelics, especially DMT, lead us into fractals on a consistent basis??

Thanks
Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.

Maybe we drop out veal of limitations and realize the universe is infinite, hence the fractals.

Just a quick guess

Has to do with mathematical equations. That's all I know about it fractals.
I think part of it is opening up our minds to see them. Things look so normal, until you think other ways, different perspectives.

Why do we see them in dmt? Good question. I have never gotten far enough to see them yet.

Maybe fractals because that is how far our minds can create an alternate reality because of the shapes we have seen before.. And maybe entities because that is what our minds are capable of creating after seeing entities in this reality. A burst of creativity?

Who knows...

fractals are infinite.
everything is infinite. so when you see fractals everwhere, you realize that everything is infinite.

The concept of a fractal is that they are nearly the same no matter the scale.

its a really interesting thing.

that says nothing about why.

neural networks are fractal.

sensory feedback in psychedelic experiences create the fractals, then display them on Brodmann area 17.

we got pattern-recognition for all senses. DMT makes that ability uncalibrated and turbo + crosses all senses.

my best guess but i'm probably wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Uncalibrated, turbocharged pattern recognition? That may actually be a pretty clear way of seeing it.

Mathematical fractal equations are based on things that happen in nature. Natural fractals such as clouds, shorelines, vein systems etc are not as visually clean and perfect as mathematical fractals because there are more random forces at play. But our turbocharged pattern recognition easily picks up these subtle patterns all around us, and the uncalibrated aspect makes these patterns appear much stronger than we are normally capable of perceiving.

Two ideas:
The true nature of the universe is fractal and DMT shuts down part of the processing of visual data allowing unfiltered reality to be seen.
OR
The fractal is the perfect representation of the left and right hemispheres working together to form a creative visual display of the data we are taking in.

As I 'came back' from an incredible awing journey the other week, I blurted out "Everything is fractals"
I was alone, and it began to resonate with me..could it be?
