Do you have your card? That and I'm sure if you went to a dispensary you could ask them all the if and's and but's about donating to them. Do you have experience with growing? "Energy flows where attention goes" [Please review the forum Wiki and FAQ before posting questions]

Not as easy as you may think. Also, the west coast is flooded with product, thus driving the prices down to lows not seen for a long time. My suggestion if you don't already know what you're doing, and if still committed to this idea, find a successful, quality grower, that you can volunteer to help (in other words, be their manual labor and learn by doing). It may be for little or no compensation, but can be invaluable in your quest towards your goal. Much Love..... I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention by using totally fictitious verbiage...........

i dont really know what im doing, but i also didnt know what i was doing with entheogens just a few short years ago. so i figure i can learn just about anything.
i like the idea about apprenticing, that makes alot of sense. my next question is how might i find a grower, and one willing to have free labor.
no i dont have a card, i dont live in a state where it is legal, but am considering a move to a legal state for many reasons

Well as you may know it is going to take you some time to learn to grow. Your first few tries are prolly gonna suck. I know this from experience. If you were in a legal state then it would be fairly easy to find a grower. As in your situation you would have to acquire one by going up the food chain. This isn't as easy, an can cause you having to possibly deal with sketchy people. Just so you know there isn't much money in "only" providing dispensaries with product alone. It would be more of a hobby or side job kind of thing. "Energy flows where attention goes" [Please review the forum Wiki and FAQ before posting questions]

All these are good points, dispensaries want the best buds they can get and a lot of times you will have to get your stuff tested for chemicals, THC/CBD content... so on. If it isn't up to par with what they want they will send you on your way. If you live in a MM state it isn't hard to find growers, they even have places you can meet up with a grower if you are in need. The only problem would be finding someone trustworthy, sure you may think you bumped into some really cool hippy dude that wants to hook you up with a place to stay and a bunch of money to grow his pot but then BAM! he tries to screw you six ways from sunday....take my word for it. Anrchy makes a good point when he says that only providing to clubs is not going to make you the money you want, most "legit" growers aren't really to put it frankly. All this aside, if you really want to do it there is nothing stopping you. Just make sure you get in with the right people and keep records of any and all payments/agreements. A few years ago my friends and I actually started a medical weed grow and distribution operation in California and I'm quiet knowledgeable about the subject in that state. As a grower you have to check the city requirements/limits since certain cities have limits while others like Berkeley are unrestricted. You can also have friends/other individuals assign you as their grower meaning you get their grow limit. Remember that each medical weed card comes with a legal possession amount, and a legal grow amount. Most people forget about the later and that amount is transferable to a certain extent. Anything written within this post is a complete work of fiction, any resemblance to reality is a coincidence.

can i get a medical card and register to grow my own pot? You can get a medical weed card and be you're own grower. You are limited to by weight regarding possession, and also you are limited by plants depending on where you live. Check with the county. I can tell you this much friend. Growing legally indoors in SoCal? Super easy. Get your doctors recomendation (usually less than 100.00). Better spend the 185.00 and get a county card too. Doctors recomendation is a prevention from prosecution, but not arrest or confiscation of your medicine. County MMJ card is a prevention from arrest and confiscation. It work's too. I know first hand they just let you and your medicine go free, right on the spot, show them the ID card, they call in and verify, have a good day officer. Making ends meet whilest legally supplying dispensaries or collectives (as allowed by law, when they're allowed to operate as prescribed by law in a town near you)? Good luck. First off, legal electricity is so friggin expensive it's almost prohibitive on it's own, basic grow equipment costs $$ then there's all the assundries you end up purchasing to fight fungus gnats, thrips, spider mites, powdery mildew..etc, nutes, water and on and on. Secondly, so many are growing here that your market is FLOODED and you likely will barely break even donating to dispensaries and collectives (there were 4 different grow shows just in my upper middle class neighborhood at one point so many are growing now). Then there are the overzealous district attorneys and the feds to deal with. Anything over 99 plants is fed for sure, anything below? Depends if they're bored I guess. But the real trick is the finesse you have to develop of taking these little plants you get, nuturing them until they're big enough to clone, nuture those clones til they are mature enough to flower and then let them flower, harvest at the right time, dry the right amount and then cure the right way. Repeat, repeat repeat. Most recently I had a perpetual garden for three years that I had a significant harvest every three weeks. Hydro is very unforgiving but not too difficult to get a grip on. Outdoor has it's own issues, indoors has it's...tons and tons and hours and hours of reading and reading and reading helps. All that being said, go for it. It's nice watching the girls grow, and then enjoying the fruits of your labour. OVERGROW. Ray
