After having several trips, I am realizing that I have changed, and these are changes that I begin to realize only after the journies. Some of these revelations are discovered weeks after as well. Recently, I have had a change in perspective, and have changed the way I think about things. I must say that I realize that I'm thinking much more positive, and am no longer depressed, what's interesting is that you don't see these things until you're no afflicted. I have read somewhere that DMT and it's analogues can treat depression (magic shrooms are awesome for this purpose, they have DMT as well). Getting back on track, I'd like to see in this post if anyone else has had similar experiences where the changes that they have undergone have emerged sometime later than the trip, as if parts of them were undergoing change that they were not aware off, or even aware of their existences.

I'm glad your experiencing such a positive change from DMT. I too have had changes in my perspective after experimenting with this awesome chemical. Just to clear some things up, you spoke of mushrooms containing DMT as well. This really isn't the case. Mushrooms contain psilocybin which is O-phosphoryl-4-hydroxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine. However this is not the same as nn-dimethyltryptamine. I'm not yet knowledgable enough on chemistry to properly explain all this. But the structure of the molecules are different which causes them to do different things.

After further research the chemicals in Shrooms and in N,N-Dmt are different, but work in a similar fashion (triggers similar areas),but they are not the same

They may not be the same, but they're awfully similar, and not just on the technicality of a name. The last time I took shrooms, I could have sworn I had taken ayahuasca. If someone would have put it in a pill and gave it to me, I would have guessed it was oral DMT by the visuals and effects.

In regards to the OP, I have changed dramatically since the beginning of my DMT use. I have a far greater respect for Egypt after having numerous grand Egyptian visions. I have a more balanced approach to life. It's easier to roll with the punches and deal with anxiety. My visual perception has adapted to detect fractal structures in a fractal environment. Many topics including philosophy have become much more appealing and sensible as DMT can tend to thrust one straight to the core of classic philosophical matters. I'm sure there is much that I'm missing, but that's a short overview for now.
