I had another inquiry... For a long while I have been struggling with a Nicotine addiction. Many have said it's a matter of will-power. Which I understand that it is. I understand how horrible it is and would like to quit soon. It's got a pretty good hold on me. When I'm withdrawing I feel so uptight and wound it's crazy. I smoke a bowl or two of some herb and I feel fine. Is it just substitution tricking my mind into thinking it has a fix? I think so. Or is there a spiritually induced method to help alleviate the "urge" that someone could share with me. A "spiritual medicine/method/practice" that would open my eyes and truly appreciate the substantial damage that damned tobacco is doing?

Veritatis cupitor, how ya doing?

i used Rue to quit smoking (weed+tabaco), i was drinking 1g of rue tea in the morning and it seemed to ease the grimness of not smoking.

could be placebo, im not sure. I think i read on the Nexus somewhere that it is the the combo of an MAOI and nicotine that makes cigarettes so addictive and that that supplying yourself with the MAOI helps.

NOTE this may all be bobins or i may have dreamt it.

try the Rue and see how it goes.

I've experimented with Mulungu in the past. It's an Amazonian tree from which the bark can be brewed into a tea and acts like a sedative. It helps you fall asleep in the evening and it's hypothesized to bind to the nicotin receptors and reduce withdrawal syndromes. It also eases anxieties and depression according to shamans[1].

It really helped me with cannabis withdrawal. It reduced the cravings and it aided in sleeping each night. I've read various experiences reports saying it helped them with nicotine withdrawal. Mind you, these are only user experiences and might be completely placebo but there are also multiple people reporting it's effects[2]. This experience suggests that high doses appear to be safe.

Please remember that Mulungu is a sedative. Don't drive, operate heavy machinery or partake in any other activities that require quick reaction times when you have taken Mulungu. I would suggest to dose in the evening before bed time. Experiment a bit with the dose to find what works for you. If you brew 3 teaspoons shredded herb(2 for powdered) and can't sleep a hour later, brew some more. You could always brew a large amount into a tea, reduce and take shots of it. Makes it easier to work out a proper dose and doesn't require a brew each evening.

HOWEVER, brewing and drinking the tea before making your way to the bathroom to wash up / shower / prepare for bed and then go to bed provide a nice bed time ritual. If you make that ritual an every night thing your body will adept and begin it's own bed time ritual as well. You will fall asleep easier.

Perhaps a spiritual experience combined with this will help you as good as it did for me.

Would that last quote still apply to rue and caapi? Aren't hamala's RIMA's, I didn't think the dietary requirements applied .

I have personally never had any trouble with any foods.

i quit cigarettes using weed as a replacement, and i still have the ability to stop smoking weed whenever i so choose (which admittedly is usually only if the weed i have around isn't that tasty).

i do microdose caapi and rue fairly regularly though....
