I'd like to invite you all to come join my wife and I at two different visionary art events happening this month.

The first one is in Santa Monica CA at the Copro Nason gallery (www.copronason.com). It's a group art show curated by noted dark surrealist Chet Zar. The artists involved are all tattoo artists who happen to also be serious painters. Some great visionary art will be there, and much of it will be of great interest to fans of the psychedelic world. The painting I'm bringing is my first attempt at doing a verbatim rendering of a DMT trip (i'll post it here as soon as it's done). I know of at least a couple LA area Nexians who plan on being there. I'd love to meet more of you! Admission is free.

The second event is the following weekend at Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors. It consists of two parts: the first 3 hours is a workshop that my wife and I are teaching on the subject of healing, empowering and transformational tattooing. You can watch a 2 minute video about the event at www.youtube.com/tattootelevision, or see a description at http://www.tattooeducati...ar-Tickets/item3471.html

For those who want to attend in person but don't want to shell out for the workshop, you can also get tickets to just the evening's events, which include a panel talk, a film screening and a live painting performance: http://www.tattooeducati...ar-Tickets/item3472.html

The following night is one of CoSM's famed full moon gatherings, which are an amazing good time and would make the drive doubly worth it. The Greys are in upstate New York, about an hour from the city (www.cosm.org). Again, it would be amazing to meet some of you in person!

Last but not least, we are doing a free live webcast of the evening's events starting after the workshop, around 5:00pm EST. You can go to www.tattoonowtv.com/visionary_tattoo.html for more information. I know there are a lot of Alex Grey fans here at these forums, and this will be a chance for you to watch live as he creates a painting from start to finish. We've performed with the Greys a few times now and it's always a great time and a visual overload.

And as a side note: one of the DJs for that night can't make it and we are looking for someone to replace him. We're looking for psy-trance type stuff, trippy and energetic without a lot of those nightclubby vocals. Their budget is low but they can pay a hundred bucks plus room and board...

Cool stuff, thanks for the invite. Will try to make the LA opening. Smile
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

All my posts are hypothetical and for educational/entertainment purposes, and are not an endorsement of said activities. SWIM (a fictional character based on other people) either obtained a license for said activity, did said activity where it is legal to do so, or as in most cases the activity is completely fictional.

Alex Grey painting something live? Hell yeah! Pleased

Thanks a lot Guyomech, and good luck with the preparations Smile I think it's awesome what you guys are doing and I'm hoping one day to be able to join one of your workshops in person, distance makes it harder than it should be atm.

Looking forward to the webcast for now Thumbs up

Thanks guys! The webcast is really our big push right now- trying out new technology for reaching people. It's free and available everywhere. Part of the goal is to get Alex webcasting more, since he does so many of these cool performances.
