There is a good book by Stuart Wilde called "The Quickening" I highly recommend it. It teaches you alot of mental and physical techniques, including teaching you to have the mind of a warrior. There is a free copy online somewhere or the book costs around $15.
The Warrior’s Prayer
"I am what I am. In having faith in the beauty within me I develop trust. In softness I have strength. In silence I walk with the gods. In peace I understand myself and the world. In conflict I walk away. In detachment I am free. In respecting all living things I respect myself. In dedication I honour the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things. In love I unconditionally accept the evolution of others. In freedom I have power.
In my individuality I express the God-Force within me. In service I give of what I have become.
I am what I am: Eternal, immortal, universal, and infinite. And so be it"

I can't think of any methods to help... With experience it becomes much easier to deal with, and to be honest these days when I breakthrough the sound of the carrier wave is barely audible(if one is overwhelmed by it like you described), while in the beginning it was way intense. On another hand, it's definately not everybody's cup o tea. No one forces to do it.

Well, probably the best way to "align yourself with the intent of the days" would be to have that full fledged breakthrough experience.

In one of my most successful recent trips, I just asked it as I faded into the trip: please show me something I wouldn't normally think of. A reasonable request considering DMT's nature... And it apparently helped put me in the right mindframe, as the trip was highly productive, my focus was even and my recall about the best ever. Coulda just been luck though.

You may find that the sensation of breathing is heavier, as if the air itself is more massive... This may be a side effect of extreme time dilation. Your breath awareness may be clearly linked to a life/death/life/death awareness, and if you intend to travel regularly you'll need to get comfortable with this. Ultimate acceptance of your own death is highly liberating.

The first breath you take in hyperspace knowingly is almost reason enough to jump right in without anxiety, also smoking some ganja before my journeys helps tremendously since this plant can protect you out there. Another way of looking at this molecule would be to perceive it as just dreaming.I also prefer no people or interferences when traveling, worry wart. Your first breakthrough is by far the most intense experience you will ever have, after a couple more it becomes a cake walk. However if you feel you are not ready, you are right.
Its in your head

True, I should of stated it protects me. I cant explain, almost a see through blanket which covers me. I also get the feeling that these two substances dont get along for whatever reasons. who knows.

Really? I've pretty much done all my trips w/ mj (~500-700 trips) and I feel like they have a certain kind of synergy. This may be because I've been partaking in Cannabis for 13-14 years though but for whatever reason mj seems to enhance my trips. Different people react differently to different substances though so who knows?... like you said.
1% of reality is within our plane of existence. What we feel... what we see... what we hear... what we "think" we know... The other 99% percent of reality can only be shown to us through DMT. This 99% lies within the "Realm of the Unknowns". We can only experience FULL reality when we leave this vessel, our bodies. DMT gives us a taste of this full reality... the universal knowledge is given to us by the beings who call "hyperspace" their home. When in hyperspace there is no "self" but instead this self is replaced with pure and raw energy. ENERGY CAN NOT BE DESTROYED, ONLY TRANSFERRED OR TRANSFORMED! So when you have that "ego-death" during a breakthrough trip, don't fret, you are not being destroyed but yet..... YOU ARE BEING TRANSFORMED.

I LOVE YOU, RESPECT YOU AND I THANK YOU... Dimethyltryptamine ... for showing me the 99% of reality that I would never have experienced in everyday life.

If someone's interested in combining the two, this is a killer combo:

Hey cosmic

I've come to find that expecting descriptions of what things feel like, etc. while partaking in the spice experience, IMHO, are mostly useless and meaningless. It is such a personal, and subjective experience for each participant......

You really have to experience these things to "know" how it feels.............

Like Carlos Canstaneda said..........paraphrasing.............

when on the edge of the abyss.............hold your breath, close your eyes..........

And JUMP!!!

Be safe, dimensional travelers................

I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention by using totally fictitious verbiage...........

The above refers to the fictitious 'I'
