Hello everyone.

Two of my friends and I just had the most bizarre DMT(?) experiences. Here's the background - I did 6 pulls on something like 168 grams of rootbark which yielded a little over 1.1% Spice. The first 4 pulls were combined and evaporated down to 100ml, which was freeze-precipitated in a baking dish that had a small amount of changa evapping residue in it. I decided it would be fine if some of the caapi-acetone extract got in the naphtha or was scrapped up alongside the DMT, and proceeded without cleaning the baking dish. Freeze precip. for ~30 hours and decant naphtha. I set this outside (for some fTwisted Evil cking reason!) and some of the Spice melted into its liquid/goop form. As soon as I noticed I put it back in the freezer. The freezer solidified it all again, but now it was distributed in even areas, not crystals, as well as turning it distinctly green...?

I assumed it was just chlorophyll from the changa residue (which the color may still have been from) and proceeded to dry it. The final two pulls were done and evapped, and upon evapping until the naphtha was cloudy, an area of what I assumed to be some of the Jungle fraction coming out of solution appeared floating on top. It was a small floating patch of orange oils, and there were a few others that I found upon freeze-precipitating.

I combined these yields together for the 1.1+ percent yield. I thought the green color to the first freeze precipitation was an inconsequential color impurity from the changa residue (likely chlorophyll from the caapi leaf used in the changa, right?).

Ok, so we all sat down for a session. I had just built my first "Machine" and had that extra 824mg DMT. My brother-in-law went first, maybe 28 or so mg tops as I spilled part of it and he went for just that dose. He came back after maybe 5 minutes and exclaimed that there was something really different about it and that it was lasting a lot longer than usual, but he couldn't communicate what it was like as he was still tripping. My other friend hit it at 36 mg and had a pretty normal DMT entity experience, but he said there were some really weird visuals going on.

So I load up 35 mg and go for it. slooooow rip from this Machine. It hit nicely. but needs a little work.
The visuals... well first I notice that I felt quite inebriated (which I don't from DMT), which probably has to do somewhat with the 2-3 beers I drank before this session. However my companions noted a stumbly, sedated quality to this trip. The visuals were extremely angular and consisted of entirely straight lines. It was very hard-edged and looked almost like some aura "shattering" around especially the streetlight that was visible through the trees here. It looked almost like a microscoping picture of very pure DMT crystals, the two long hard straight lines and then these two lines that go into eachother.

I had never had visuals like this, It was like a different drug entirely. The visuals were so straight lined, hard angles and not much movement unless I moved. Not much color either, mostly just dark and then this crystal stuff all around everything especially lights. This substance lasted notably longer, perhaps as much as 20 minutes. Freebase DMT lasts 3-5 minutes for me.

I guess I am just really utterly confused- what could be the reason for these bizarre effects? Has anyone had anything like this? I remember somebody posting about crystal taking over his normal hyperspace. It also felt really inebriating, but this wasn't due to my slight beer buzz. The other two had very similar trips, except the one guy got an entity thing, which I had no feeling of at all. It seemed like a space without much life.

Do you think that is crazy or bizarre? That sounds like a normal medium DMT experience. If you are not ready for experiences tenfold more crazy then I suggest you at least stick to low doses.
Visuals can be anything even on "plain" DMT.

I believe there are some differences in effects when you make such a "mix", even when it's mostly DMT. There's even a noticeable difference in my experience when it comes to orange and white DMT. It's quite fascinating... Even when DMT gives almost completely different experience by itself each time.

tele, perhaps I am not conveying properly HOW different it was from a normal DMT trip - and all three of us reported the SAME unusual effects which were

1 - the body feeling was on of inebriation and not the usual vibrational buzzing, so much so that I actually stumbled about and dropped the machine on the grass. That could be construed in normal DMT way, but take my word I had never gotten that distinct stumbly drunk feeling from DMT (however I had 1-2 beers before this, so that would SEEM to account for it, but my companions also reported it.

2- The visuals were NOT normal. You said that DMT can be anything, which I agree to an extent, but not to the extent that it can have visual effects that are outside of it's range... I've gone into hyperspace at least 25 times with FB, which isn't a lot by any means - but certainly enough to know what it looked like all those other times.T The visuals were extremely angular and consisted of entirely straight lines. Normally DMT is flowing, reticulating, morphing and re-forming into highly intricate and seemingly ALIVE space - this trip had none of that. The visuals consisted entirely of these hard, trasparent, straight lines and sharp angles. There wasn't even alot going on except this shattered visual stuff...

*sigh* I guess I'm having a really hard time describing how this was entirely different than a normal DMT trip... I mean, have you had visuals that consisted entirely of a single transparent shape? It was like this :
/__________________\
\__________________/ lol OK so thats another terrible rendition!

Anyway, I shelved this batch of green DMT until I got some replies around these parts....

tele! I promise it was weird and unusual!! I'm not entirely inexperienced, and have around 25 or so reference points...! But you know, since you mentioned the orange/white spice and that you believe there is a difference - I just remembered that the last 2 pulls were with many-times reused naphtha which was yellow tinted and evapped down to about 1/5th of the original volume. On top of the precipitation was a patch of orange oils (jungle Spice?) Which was mixed in with the rest of it... this might account for the effects, but reading jungle or Jimjam reports and they still sound like DMT experiences.

Anyway, thank for the reply. I'm not too worried, as the experience was by no means malicious or dark at all - it was just really atypical but hey this IS DMT we are talking about... I mean, I'd rather have weird straight lines and hard angles flying around me than one of those "dark" hyperspace trips

Also, as I mentioned, the duration was way longer than normal, easily 20 minutes...

I just think that DMT is by itself so odd and often randon and the experiences vary alot, that experience with extremely different visuals is nothing new. But it is interesting that you have found a new "mix" which can alter the DMT experience by itself, enough to be noticed by every user. Also the longer duration is rather interesting.
It's just that DMT can raise the "bizarre bar" for almost every person who visits "that weird dimension" enough times.

The extended duration is probably because of the harmalas from the changa residue

in the past week I have really been thinking about this experience and my relationship with DMT altogether. This particular molecule is the only thing that has ever given me such existential terror - the only true terror I have ever experienced, and yet nothing has shown me such beauty. I think that inhalation of any psychedelic is going to be a trepidatious experience for me, the speed at which the effects come on gives me no time to "deal" with it... and I've never been too much or a roller-coaster enthusiast...

tele, thank you for your replies. Indeed, my "bizarre-bar" has been raised by my dancing with this molecule which is honestly something that I am very glad for. I used to have this "philosophical issue" where I would find an ideology or spiritual path that resonated with me and declare it "Truth" - DMT has really demolished most of my belief in "truth" or "falsehood", at least as far as being a "True Believer" is concerned... DMT, far from showing the "truth" (as many who don't do it or subscribe to this whole pop-psychedelia Spirit Molecule stuff) has shown me that when you get down to the nitty gritty the truth is quite slippery! The crux of the biscuit is the slipperiest of all.

I am going to try a bit more of this green stuff and report back. If it still has all these weird effects, to the T - I am going to have to stand by it being something else making the experience different. But we'll see,

aight will report back later, thanks again tele.

No need to thank me for a chatWink

I have the same things happened to me that you described. DMT really has changed my life and challenged my views. And I'm very glad it has...Thumbs up

Let us know how your changa-freebase will amaze you.

A little late to the party here, but I often get an inebriated feeling from an "outgoing" DMT trip (as opposed to introverted trip). Like glossolalia, flailing about, general drunken behavior. Only happens with a group session usually.

What did you use for changa base material? Damiana definitely affects my trips.
All these posts are on behalf of Stimpy, my yellow bullhead. He is an adventurous fish, and I feel his exploits are worth sharing...so much so, I occasionally forget that HE is the one who does these things. Sometimes I get caught in the moment and write of his experiences in the first person; this is a mistake, for I am an upstanding citizen who never does wrong. Stimpy is the degenerate.

Hey cuttlefish:

Y'know I get those sorts of effects from time to time, general flopping about and a (particular) glossolalia... But it wasn't like this... I felt basically drunk - but that could conceivably have been the slight harmala alkaloid content from the changa-contamination making the 2 beers I had stronger. That happens right? Never combined the two before.

The changa who's residue got into this freebase was 50%11x caapi leaf and 50%mullein.

@tek: I should have put a better title... I guess my 25-30 smoked dmt experiences HAVE been the most bizarre experiences in my life, so...!

Update: smoked 40mg plus whatever was in the screen of this same Spice and oh my lord it was -"normal"! I worked on getting back on dmt's good side; after a really good changa session, I decided to give the last 40 mg of this stuff a go (the rest was all given away)... I load it in the Machine, and emboldened by my positive changa experiences half an hour previous, uttered a few words stating my intentions and thanks, and went to town. Easily 8 hits, perhaps more (my machine is a little janky). The first 5 or so not much activity, bit the last three and woooow... Man I was slreally relieved to see "normal" hyperspace billowing out from behind my eyelids! Literally nothing of what happened before... It was just regular lovely DMT!

Well I guess that's that, I'm now firmly in the camp that says Spice look however it likes! I mean, it seemed so radically different that me and my companions were talking abOut it being some other substance altogether... But, no! Tele! How right you were! This trip, along with the Changa before it, I feel helped me get back on the good side of dmt... As well as jurema last night... Dmt is so funny, it really demands so much spiritual work and Spice-specific work to maintain a good relationship, but I love that!

DMT is like that... It tends to occasionally give experiences one wouldn't think could happen with DMT. That is, almost anything is possible! So don't be surprised the next time it throws an "odd one" at youWink
I guess that's one of the great things about it that it's rarely the same experience. Keep on explorin'Cool

Haha, exactly what I was thinking. I've completely given up trying to predict what will happen once I put that GVG up to my lips.

To be honest, I'd be more concerned if your experiences stopped being bizarre. THEN you have something to worry about Very happy

Peace and Happy Journeys. I hope it continues to get more and more bizarre for you.
