My bf and I are planning to dose this weekend and it will only be my second time doing DMT. I went to an amazing place my first time a week ago, and would really like to try to go back this time. I would love to see the same entities and try to go further in my trip.

My question is this; has anyone tried meditating or thinking of the place they went to last before dosing? And if so did it work? I was thinking if I just replay the place over and over in my head and think of the goddess repeatedly as well as the chant I brought back with me for a while before dosing it might work....?

Thank you Pleased

It's worth a try... try your method and see what happens. For me meditating about a previous trip before dosing has never brought me back to that place. Now I just meditate before every trip to completely clear my mind... going into a trip with a blank mind has given me some of my most glowing experiences along with giving me some of the oddest ones too... Very happy

Good luck and happy travels!
1% of reality is within our plane of existence. What we feel... what we see... what we hear... what we "think" we know... The other 99% percent of reality can only be shown to us through DMT. This 99% lies within the "Realm of the Unknowns". We can only experience FULL reality when we leave this vessel, our bodies. DMT gives us a taste of this full reality... the universal knowledge is given to us by the beings who call "hyperspace" their home. When in hyperspace there is no "self" but instead this self is replaced with pure and raw energy. ENERGY CAN NOT BE DESTROYED, ONLY TRANSFERRED OR TRANSFORMED! So when you have that "ego-death" during a breakthrough trip, don't fret, you are not being destroyed but yet..... YOU ARE BEING TRANSFORMED.

I LOVE YOU, RESPECT YOU AND I THANK YOU... Dimethyltryptamine ... for showing me the 99% of reality that I would never have experienced in everyday life.

I recommend just stating your intentions to yourself and see where it leads you. Emptying the mind is a good practice to take less thoughts "there", meditation is good for this.

In "the teachings of don juan" , Castaneda mentiones that to the experienced voyager, the plant teacher can take a permanent form in which he is recieved during subsequent states of altered consciousness. I have not tried it myself, but if you really EXPECT to meet the same entity, it is , at least from the logical point of view, possible if your suggestions to yourself are strong enough. The chant is surely a good way to go, but if you meet an entity the next time, ask it for his name. If he gives you a name, you will have successfully created a link to the part of your consciousness which is able to percieve the entity. Castaneda states further that, if the connection has through repeated contact been strenghtened, one can via the name come in contact with the entity even WITHOUT ingestion of the plant which containes the teacher. I do not know wheather this is true, but if you believe it to be possible, it might work. Meditating before ingestion is something i would recommend always, not only in order to alter the experience but to calm the mind and reflect on ones intentions and expectations.

Smoking dmt is a total roll of the cosmic dice. The experience will take you where it wants to..more times than not. So thinking or meditating on a place you might of slightly remembered in the past probably won't do much. BUT...to meditate to clear your thoughts and level your heart rate...THAT is a great thing to do beforehand and can greatly take the edge of initially. Smile

Meditation is highly, highly recommended, but I see some issues on your concept of meditation and the intended purpose of the meditation.

My objective here is not to preach what meditation is or isn't, but try to look around meditation techniques in different traditions, or just research "why meditate" (there's some great stuff from Alan Watts on this, for example, but find whatever fits your liking)

My personal view is that we don't meditate to control things around us, being them material or mental. Inside this personal view, you would meditate to learn and develop an equanimous contemplation of any place you may visit during an experience, among other useful things.

As an addition, in my personal experience stating the purpose of the use of a given substance right before using it, and keeping your thoughts concentrated on this as you dose is a very useful and real tool. You don't need to be mystical for that (or a believer in any sort of spiritual view), it works as a concentration tool.

I even prefer stating out loud when possible - hear yourself.

DEFINITELY SET AN INTENTION.

I highly recommend meditation before taking the medicine, being in a state of peaceful acceptance definitely helps me punch through the "blast off" portion at the beginning without much trepidation. I have taken to setting an intention as well, I normally ask a question. I've asked general questions like "how does it work?" and specific stuff like "what do I need to do to make this project as effective as possible?" and I have been given direct answers every time.

From my experience (which is only like 15 journeys) you'll go where you go and don't need to force anything at all. I go to the same starting place every time before I break through but then after that it's different. Safe travels!

"God is not outside us but is just us, the living and the dead, the never-lived and never-died. That we should learn it only now, is supreme reality, it was written a long time ago in the archives of universal mind, it is already done, there's no more to do." ~ Jack Kerouac

How are you consuming it? Also when you are dosed try asking the spice it will bring you back to that comfortable place. I find that when I'm in hyperspace the entities will sometimes grant me a pass to see things I want to see if I ask nicely. This doesn't always work though...

No worries about preaching or not Wink It's all extremely helpful. Meditation and DMT are all new to me so I appreciate any and all input. I used to mediatate as a teenager due to panic attacks I used to have on a regular basis. I overcame the attacks many years ago therefore stopped meditating. It's something I would really like to get back into.

Likely not, at least in my experience because spice is SO extreme and unpredictable that the next journey might be nothing at all like the last and often more amazing than you could have possibly imagined.
Mediate for sure, but mediation also takes many forms. For me, meditation is putting on some ambient chill music, preparing my surroundings, setting up the pipe and accesories...a long hot shower, and doing all this with calm intent and focusing inward. When its launch time I like to focus on the moment, very much on this body I inhabit and the feelings flowing through it.
I used to meditate for along time attempting to get to an emotional zero state of calmness, but not anymore. I found that meditating on becoming "focused and calm" led to some boring non-breakthru trips. What I discovered that for me is just to try to tune in to whatever the ongoing body vibe level is and travel with that, remaining open with very little fear and going with that path it takes me.
Peace

I feel its absolutely necessary to integrate meditation throughout the majority of your daily life with and without the use of plants.

You should be able to reach desired states of mind almost on command, breathing techniques, music, and energy working are extremely helpful aids, practice of course being the absolute guaranteed way of conjuring pure bliss on a whim, so pure you wanna cry.(and once you gain this ability learn to share by spreading it by dance, energy working, prayer or whatever)

Bliss just being one of many states one can acquire through meditation. The conundrum I keep finding myself in is what happens when you acquire the ultimate awareness, its truly a shame to turn it off, unless you have a temple and following you simply cannot function in today's world being the flaming Buddha flying around your local area.
Its in your head

I am very inexperienced with meditation but I still give it a try before every journey.Sometimes it helps and other times it causes me to abort the mission.I am going to start practicing it more in my day to day life so I can better
understand what it is I am trying to achieve through meditation.

Lately my method is sit and try the meditation and if it causes me to start to back out of the journey,I bring a fair size joint and smoke it.And instead of trying to empty my mind, I think about where I am likely to end up.

I know this isnt the best advice but it seems to be working for me.And actually helps me to not be so overwhelmed at the onset of the effects of DMT.

Whatever works for you.... keep it

For me personally I prefer the blank mind method (as stated before). No Expectations! I've learnt that DMT is VERY random and to go in with a certain "mode" or thinking just isn't the best for me (I tend to over think things.. get caught in loops..etc). Now I have stated my intent before... and I might chant a matra or two.. something along the lines of "I RESPECT YOU... GUIDE ME" or "FILL ME WITH LIGHT AND LOVE" .. just little goofy matras that help me and is sorta like my security blankets (even though DMT can leave you ass naked in a millisecond Very happy ).

Hello. Just wanted to update. I did 25mgs of DMT on Sunday. For a couple hours before hand I was chanting what I brought back with me from the last trip and thinking of the Goddess. Everyone who said DMT takes you where it wants to is right. I went to a completely different place this time. Completely unlike my first time. I wrote about the experience in first steps in hyperspace here.

Thanks again to everyone who replied to this thread Thumbs up

Ive been practicing meditating, usinig binurial beats. I start off by doing deep breaths, then after that I start taking very shallow, breaths, sometimes it seams like im not even breathing. Is that right??? Im not 100% sure if im doing it correctly?
